Headed to the Mecca for my birthday in 2 weeks for my 10th trip, recently divorced and bringing my new gf who is a virgin and who isnt fond of gambling. I can go all night long if needed & left alone. However, I need some ideas (nightclubs & music) to help make sure the gf has a good time. We are lower 40's & like hip hop, R&B, & jazz. Don't mind hanging with teeny boppers, but if needed we can go with younger crowd. Please give me some ideas....

    Where are you staying?

Not much help in the music side, but some other ideas:

    - casual bartop VP where you can still talk to each other.
    - dinner on patio at Olives
    - lots of walking, shopping?
    - breakfast/lunch at Mon Ami

(and, p.s.... I hope by Virgin, you mean "Vegas Virgin".)

I would definitely look at Drais on Friday the 8th with Big Sean there. Heavy hip hop focus that night.

For some reason, I don't foresee it going well.
There are so many clubs on the strip.
I suggest sitting down with her to pick out the place together.
Then do the same thing with a show.
Making this a "our" trip instead of a "your" trip with her tagging along.
Earn some points :D with her then suggest she also try a gambling session together.
Bring her to the Craps table with only a handful of people and let everyone know she is a virgin. Craps player will make her feel very welcome.
The camaraderie of Craps player with virgins will she some new light on Vegas for her.

NYNY and I think Harrahs has the dueling pianos. If she is into that it would be fun.

Secretly set up a nice 2-3 spa session just for her....then that gives you your time to gamble. :headbang:

+1 for Drai's. 1OAK at The Mirage also caters to the hip-hop crowd for the most part, though it is a smaller club.

Regards to club, you guys might be cool with younger crowd however YOUNG PPL might not have you guys there lol
Well I'm in my late 40s as well...here's my thought (just an idea) when we go we like to stick with smaller club I noticed when you go to big clubs you might get lost with all the young ones and just too crazy crowed and may not enjoy it since it's her first time there... I would try to stick with The Bank or The Hyde inside the bellagio.
Inside the Paris hotel, there's a good size club call The Cheatu which has inside and outside club it's pretty awesome as well we had good time there as well...

    Good luck.

Agree with the earlier suggestions of Drais at Cromwell or The Bank at the Bellagio. The Bank won't be quite as crowded as Drais, but Drais is more or less your marquee hip-hop centered club.

Trust me. As a father of 7, I understood that it was a joke.
