Sam's Town & MSS (trip 23)

Going to use mostly pics for this TR.

Started the trip with 3 nights at Sam's Town.

The pics below were taken at Angry Butcher, we ate at the bar there all 3 nights. Lively place.
The bottom one is the view from the bar through the patio, looking in to the atrium.

While we were at Sam's Town I hit a Royal playing the dollar progressive at the Billy Joe bar.


We saw two movies, Sausage Party and Hell or High Water. One of them was very good.

Next up, our room at MSS.

 

Moved to MSS, got lucky with a suite.
Note the safe has a key.

The fancy drink made by Oleg at Boar's Head Bar.
We had these one day after lunch, after three of them I was too buzzed for my daily nap. Will have these again!

The plan was to split some pancakes and bacon. But when the server mentioned a Scotch Egg the plan changed.
Good Stuff, I would go again. Good coffee too, I'm usually ok with any coffee but this was notable.

Met up with Turtleman at MSS, Played VP and chatted for a couple of hours.

 

Friday night was dinner at RedWood Grill, temporarily located at MSS Pullman.
Followed by the Oakridge Boys at Golden Nugget.

This last pic was taken from my seat, fourth row I believe. This was our 3rd time seeing a show here.

 

Saturday we ate Second Street Grill in the Fremont Casino. This was my first time having crab legs that didn't come from a buffet. I'll do this again.

We had one meal at the MSS buffet. Kim really likes the decor in here.

 

Trip notes.
Coin-in at Sam's Town, 40,207 using my card.
Coin-in at MSS, 73,597 using Kim's card.
Scratch-cards totaled $63, one of them $3.
Overall down $713 for the trip (would have been ugly without the royal).
Not one straight flush this trip.

Used Uber twice.
***Airport to Sam's Town, very smooth except the driver accidentally turned into the Wal-Mart parking lot and followed the phone's directions to get back on course. Pre-tip fare was $18 and during surge. I've paid pretty much the same for non-surge.
***MSS to Airport. The pin drop put us at the Mob Musuem. I called the driver and gave our location, he went to the valet parking area, we were on the parking deck side. Another call and he found us. Nice, young guy, 7 in the morning. He greats us, "I'm glad to see you guys aren't drunk. I get lots of drunks in the morning." Smooth ride.

Nice royal. I don't know if you realize it, but you might have had the last 9/6 progressive ever at Sam's town. They changed them to 8/5 about a week ago.

 

Didn't know about that, sad to hear more downgrades.

 

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up Ty..definitely will at Christmas though.
Congrats on the Royal too...seems like September was $ royal time for both of us (and saved both of our trips, haha)
