    Hello Everyone,

My husband and I will be in Vegas in Nov. for his birthday, and we are hoping to stay on the strip. Which hotels have the easiest parking entrances, either from the strip, or from other streets. We are hoping to each get a 1 night comp room from myvegas, so the MGM properties are what we are hoping for.

However, I know the traffic can be horrific on the strip and it has been 3 years since we have been there, and we know everything changes.

We will driving to Vegas from Laughlin, NV and arriving on a Sunday if that helps. I want easy as possible, as the traffic can freak me out.LOL (I hate it when people blow their horns at me, LOL)

    Thank you so much,
    K-9treatbaker

All of the MGM garages seem so similar to me. They're just a large garage located behind the hotels with a walkway to get into the hotel. If you're coming in from Laughlin then you're coming up 215 to the Strip. The first properties that you would hit (so as not to have to drive too much in LV) would be Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur and NYNY. All of these have similar garages. Book the hotel that appeals to you the most.

I've parked cars at MGM, Mirage,Treasure Island, Cosmo, Harrahs, and LinQ. All of them were easy to get into except Harrahs and LinQ which were a bit tricky the way into the parking garage since you have to basically come in the back side of the hotels.

I like mirage garage cause you can get in and out without going on the strip. Same with Luxor but I didn't like Luxor cause the garage seems too small.

Thanks for the info on the parking fees. Self parking is still free for nevada residents, but Valet is not free. It is 18.00 a day I believe depending on the property.

I vote Mirage. Very easy in and out and pretty close to hotel registration.

Paris/Ballys is not too bad in/out wise but quite a hike to the casinos and rooms.

Flamingo parking was a total cluster{f-bomb} our last stay there! Garage full and valet often full. Real mess!

Thank you for the info on Flamingo. SInce I have read some negative reviews from other sites, I was reluctant to stay there. And I have comps for a couple free rooms, but I don't want to stress out with parking. Now, I know I won't consider it. Appreciate the input.

Our hotel room was very nice and the elevators have been updated. Overall it was ok except for parking and sorta tight slots.

What Sunday are you arriving? And if you are trying to get a MyVegas room, you will want to do it asap as the rooms may not be available.

Most parking garages can be accessed from back streets behind the casinos. We've found it pretty easy to park up and down the strip, we always rent a car.

I assume we're talking self parking here. In my opinion, easiest parking when avoiding the Strip are:

    1. The Cosmopolitan. Enter off Harmon, halfway between LV Blvd and Aria.
Plus: Entrance from both directions off Harmon. Exit to both directions of Harmon. Has those lights over the stalls to find empty spots easily. Two elevator banks, easy to find. Elevators drop you right into the casino, very short walk no matter where you park in the lot.
Minus: You have to get to Harmon, which has no I-15 access.

    2. Mandalay Bay. Enter off Sinatra Drive, just a bit north of the big Mandalay Bay advertising sign straddling Sinatra Dr.
Plus: Easy access both directions off Sinatra, and you can completely avoid the Strip if traffic is heavy. Large lot, escalators to take you to casino level.
Minus: Fairly long hike to front desk.

I don't really agree Mirage is easy. It's got a horribly confusing semi-one-way signage that makes you do a 360 around the closer of the two lots, and it can often be full. If it's full, you have to go back out and hunt for the entrance to the 2nd lot. It might easy once you've done it 5 times, but not for a first timer.

If you're not avoiding the Strip, I find Wynn and Bellagio to have the easiest access to their self park lots right off the Strip.

Yes, I am talking self parking. Sadly, you now have to pay for valet,(we're not pearl level) even if a registered hotel guest, so with the resort fee's, and having to pay for valet, self parking it is. Luckily self parking is still free for Nevada residents until the first of the year. Mandalay Bay sounds like it would be super easy, so I will really look into that property. Plus, it is a bit away from the several of the mega resorts.

Thank you all for the help. It makes choosing our hotel a lot easier. I wish we could stay at Wynn or Bellagio, but alas, just not in our budget. LOL
    Kindly,
    K-9treatbaker
