If you get upgraded at check-in, does your comp "rate" reflect the upgrade

OK, so those of you who followed my last TR know about how I was considered "overcomped", and I have taken steps to combat that by asking for a "lower tier" room at Caesars.

I have also asked my host this, but, does anyone "know" if:

Since the difference in room "comp" rate between a "view" and "no view" in the Augustus tower is $60 a night, if, at check-in, I am "upgraded", are my comps assessed at the higher rate?

The only reason that this would come into play is for taking backend comps. (Seeing Celine Dion this trip)

    Answer is yes.
Back end comp is based on your actial play and actual expense for this trip.

Confirmed by my host. Therefore, no upgrade requested this trip. CET is pricing me out of Caesars.

How could? You are a 7 star.
How many 7 stars they have?

What I am referring to is:

1)They raised the room rates (Augustus Tower strip view is close to $200/night). It was $120
2)They have changed the calculation of Theo from TC/2 to TC/3 (I haven't positively verified this, this is based on my last trip)

I typically have no problem "making" the room, however, FBC are getting harder to come by.
