I'm looking for new things to talk about on my Vegas Travel News Facebook page. In particular, I'd like to hear about "unusual" things to do. For example, I know you can:

    - Ride a camel (Camel Safari, Mesquite, NV)
    - Drive a bulldozer (Dig This Las Vegas)
    - Surf (FloRider - Planet Hollywood)
    - Take a free walking tour of the strip (Nomad Walking Tours LV)

What else should I know about?

Visit the Ethel M Mars candy and cactus museum. Candy part is not so unusual, but the cactus garden is so beautiful & fascinating, especially to us cold climate types! Maybe you could add some info about the surrounding neighborhood - there looked to be some nice walking trails, maybe good non-chocolate places to eat?

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

Not really unusual but Dave and Busters opened last month in Vegas, you might like to mention that.

Way back when, the Ethel M stores at the airport used to give out free samples. The first time had one, I was hooked. They are in the process on renovating their main location that includes the cactus garden . I'll have to check on the status. Thanks for the suggestion.

Good point, many folks that go to Vegas might have to travel a long distance from where they live to do this otherwise. Good suggestion.

I'm also trying to keep up to date on new businesses opening in Vegas. For example, a company called Seaquarium is opening in The Boulevard in November. Looks like a fun place to take kids for an afternoon. I'll add D&B to the list. Thanks.

I've never done any of these but read a lot about it here. It might be of interest on your page:

    Neon Museum
Night Helicopter ride over the Strip
    Pinball Hall of Fame
That Nascar Racing where you can drive a racecar on a track
    Sky jump at the Stratosphere
Running Down Fremont Street Naked. Ok, I made this one up.

I dont care to pay for my adventures, i like to create my own.

One of my favorites is to explore casinos. Once you start snooping around you will find stairwells that go to places where you are the only one around. get caught and just say you are lost which you actually sort of are.

the trick is, if you see some stairs go up them. you will be able to find all sorts of interesting stuff.

Let us know when you make it to the money room, but I have a feeling that will be down rather than up. :poke:

I actually had the opportunity to visit the Test site, by decided not to. It seems to me the government used to run tours out there, but I need to see if that is still the case. I'll also check out the museum.

    Thanks!

I had to go from the MGM to the Grand Arena for an event one day many years ago. I stopped an MGM employee to ask the best way to get there. He said "Follow me". He took me through a "secret passage" that connects the two structures that I guess only employees are suppose to use. Kinda cool.
