Up at 3am EDT, on hold for an hour with T-Mobile (don't even think about ordering on the site - down since 3:03am) - order went fine and was told I was in for next week delivery.

1 7 Plus Jet Black 128gb for myself
1 7 Plus Black 128gb for the wife

Normally we're not fans of the Plus size - but that camera... Damn! Nor am I a fan of the bigger storage, but for Jet Black it starts at 128gb and she's all about taking pictures while on vacation / holidays so she could use the extra storage this time around - otherwise, I get the base size.

On the fence about Apple Watch Series 2 - we both have "Series 1" - the brighter screen and water proof would be welcomed, but I never had a problem with mine in a Vegas pool so I'm not sure I'm feeling another $350+ x 2. GPS is nice but I'm never away from my phone so... not feeling it.

My Verizon rep hopefully placed my order for my work iPhone for me. Going with a Jet Black 7 128 gb. Once my personal iPhone's contract is up (a couple more weeks) I plan on getting the Black 128 gb as well.

New camera looks sweet, but I can't fit a 7 Plus (let alone 2) in my pocket.

We are Apple shareholders and we both have an iPhone 6 Plus. We like the increased screen real estate and that's why we got them. We think the iPhone 7 is another wildly unimaginative Apple fail in the sad post Jobs era, and the stock market agrees. We thought we were Apple Sheep, but Apple's recent offerings and failures to update core products are so disappointing we've lost interest and we've been unloading our devalued Apple stock. No iPhone 7s for us.

I bought an Apple Watch 1 and hated it. It really didn't do much without the phone, and if I had the phone I didn't need the watch. I gave it to my wife and she loves it. No Watch 2 for us either.

Alas, Tim Cook is no Steve Jobs and Ivy is a master at flowery design language overhyping mediocre "improvements."

Sadly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explodes, so Apple is still ahead.

I will probably get it, but not right away. Currently I have an iPhone 5s, so I wouldn't mind upgrading. Also, I only got 32 gigs pm my 5s and that was not enough. So I'll get a 128 gig, probably matte black. But I just have to wait a month or two to pay something off. I like the idea of a larger screen but it's too big too comfortably fit in a pocket.

One more thing. I use my iphone to practice bass and guitar. This involves the lightening jack for the guitar interface and the headphone jack. Since the new phone does not have a separate headphone jack I will need to purchase the lightening dock in addition to the actual iPhone. Just more "stuff" and cost.

I got an email this morning where Verizon is giving pretty good trade in value on old iphones for upgrading to the 7. I got my iPhone 6 (64gb) for work for $99 from Best Buy last year so taking a $650 credit (over 2 years) would probably make me come out ahead on that one. Going to look at this one more this weekend.

I'm still very happy with my 6. When the battery starts to really lose its charge I'll upgrade to the 7 or hopefully the 8 if the battery makes it that long. The camera on the 7 is tempting though......

the note 7's do not explode, they have a battery issue in some of the phones that could cause it to burn up, big difference, mainly from people playing on the phone with it plugged in overheating the bad battery...then it was narrowed down to phones only built in south korea and vietnam, all of the china made ones have the good batteries...

    also samsung is fixing that issue, no questions asked, I have a note 7, love it, but like anything new it will have issues, they went with the curved glass and the corners and side curve are fragile, you can hit the flat part with a hammer and be fine, I already cracked mine on the side lol, but will swap it out under the recall(didnt have a case as it was in the mail at the time}

android is for people who want to be able to customize and utilize their phone, iphone limits so much stuff unless you jailbreak it and probally void the warranty

just remember, iphone 6 bent in peoples pocket and apple done nothing for them

I'm sticking with my 6+ for another year. Not enough in the 7 to make me want to bite. Let's see what they do next year with the 10th anniversary edition. Overall the cell market is so mature that improvements will be incremental, for iPhones, Android, everyone.

LOL tell that to the majority of stories in the media, they all say the phone is exploding, like this article: http://www.cnet.com/news/man-claims-galaxy-note-7-caught-fire-blew-up-jeep/

Not I! I'm very happy with my iPhone 6 and I recently bought 2 Marc Jacobs wristlets that the iPhone 6 fits perfect in....and they are gorgeous and love those wristlets, so no new phone (yup weird reasoning but true)

I saw that today! I went after work. At first the rep was talking about a $400 credit, I'm like well I heard about this $650 deal, he's like oh yeah, that's an even better deal. I'm like what the hell dude?

So as of right now my Jet Black iPhone 7 is expected to arrive Oct. 11th and my Black iPhone 7 is expected to arrive Sept. 23rd.

I was up at 3:00am to try and order one. I have a 6s but the camera in the 7 plus looks awesome. However Apple's website said it was a 3 week wait for a black 128gb 7 plus. Screw that. I'll try to get one on the 16th. If not maybe I'll just wait until Black Friday for a deal. Those free offers won't work for me. I'm not leaving AT&T since their service for me is very reliable. And to get a free one on AT&T you have to be a new customer and have direct tv service. I used to get the subsidized price in exchange for a 2 year contract. Sadly AT&T did away with that in January. So for the first time ever I'm paying full price for a phone. It was nice while it lasted.

i was going to get my 7 from my carrier T-mobile. However i am not sure which one i like. i'd rather do it in person
so, i'll hit up my t-mobile store monday.

All of my friends are freaking out that it has no headphone jack. I never use headphones, that's no problem for me

its not that it doesnt have a headphone jack, you have to go through the charging port to utilize it. unless you have some bluetooth headphones, people are going crazy because they wont be able to charge the phone and use cabled headphones at the same time...im sure there is a cable being made by apple and sold separately to allow both

    If yp
If you use the iPhone Lightning Dock you can charge, or sync, and use the headphone jack on the dock.

Clever Apple. Take away a function and then charge you $49 for an accessory to get it back. But, you can get it in five colors! Can't imagine trying to use the Apple Dock while charging on the way to and from Vegas, though........

Jeez-keeping my 6 Plus until it gives up.

Unimpressed. I'll wait as long as I can before upgrading. I find upgrading too often a waste of money. I upgrade when an out of warranty phone starts to fail; not when Apple says "Look at this..."

...but...to each his own! Enjoy the new phones!

ive been using the Note series phones forever, and like you, I didnt get the note 7 just to be hip, I was on the Note3 and although it works still, the battery was draining a lot quicker and it was time to get something new, probally have this one a few years also, lol

I have this bore scope that works off of the phone, for some reason it only works on my note 3 so thats all that phone is dedicated for now and always good to have a backup for any reason

I went into my local Sprint Store on Friday around 11am and order 2 iPhone 7 Plus (128gb Rose & Jet Black). My local store was close to empty and they said I was only the 4th preorder.
