Why don't I see much for the Identity Rewards here? I know it is just for the Cosmo but is it that bad? Do they not offer than many comps? I am staying at a Marriott a few times until my trip so should I try and get reward points for it to better my stay in Vegas? From what I am seeing though MLife kicks ass.

I used 45k marriott points and that was good enough for one night free. So for me it's a good start.

I can't wait to go and play there for the first time in a month. The VP says they have the best slot rewards program. I can't wait to see how good they treat me

If you're a slot player, the Cosmo offers some pretty decent comps. We always split our stay between there and Caesars. Usually a couple weeks after getting home we receive a new offer. Currently 3 nights with 300 in free play. We also have a host there that waives the resort fees and comps charges on the back end as well. One negative for me, I'm not a fan of the way the Identity Rewards program is set up on line.

There are a handful of threads. But, since it is only one property vs the multiple for CET and MLIFE, it gets less attention.

There are a few pretty big threads here for Cosmo related items. One thread where their slot exec was matching other casino comps which is a pretty big deal. He has always been responsive. Offered free nights on a past trip and this time around I wasnt warranting any free nights and he offered a casino rate to me for my nights that saved easily 50% on what I would've paid direct even with the deals on their website.

As for the lack of threads compared to Caesars or MGM - it is likely because we are talking one property versus people's experience at the 10-15 properties CET and MLife consume.

As for the quality of the players club - Cosmo does serious justice to those who spend money at the resort. You get 5 points for every dollar spent on your room, food, drink, spa, etc. Considering the 2nd tier is at 5000 points (which earns you a free night to use any day of the year, B1G1 free buffet once a month, 2x slot points every day etc) - you only need to spend $1000 at the hotel which is pretty easy considering the rates, and cost of food/drink.

Kinda know what you mean, Identity gets lost surrounded by the hoards of TR and Mlife resorts. I love the Cosmo though and try to play enough there to stay in their good graces, I usually have a rolling 2-night offer from them all year round. Cashed it in last Xmas and upgraded to a truly spectacular room, best I've had in Vegas.

On the balance though I tend to stay at MGM props due to better overall offer packages. I'd really like to take one trip and drop a serious amount of coin-in at Cosmo to see what could be mined from it.

Been to Vegas 3 times now in a year, stayed at the Cosmo twice, the last time comped. Best rewards I think for slot players and spenders on food/etc. As someone said earlier in the thread, the only thing that grinds me is no website. If they had something remotely similar to the worst of the others, it would put them far ahead of the others in my book. Something about logging on to CET and seeing comped rooms all over the place makes me feel they know who I am. Cosmo, not so much.

All it shown now when you log in is a single number that represents your combined current point balance earned from play (which is convertible either to freeplay or resort credit) and hotel spend (which is only convertible to resort credit). If you want to break down that number, you have to go to a machine or the Identity Desk. If you want to find out how many tier credits you have, you have to go to the desk (or call or email).

I stay a lot at MLIFE, but Identity rewards absolutely trumps MLIFE in my book. I still really like mlife, it's been great to us, but identity flat is more rewarding for us.

We're staying for 4 nights free (plus an extra 5th night free due to hitting sterling) in a great room, plus RC/FP. (Identity player program)

MLIFE has been great, but the 3 night cap has been a bummer. (I know some have gotten around this, but we haven't.)

Secondly, Identity has a much more generous rewards program for going up to gold. You actually get your free play based comp rooms, PLUS two annual bonus comp rooms, PLUS two free nights for a friend. (Plus other GOOD perks like early/late check in when available, comped resort fee on gold, BOGO buffet, etc)

I still stay at MLIFE too, but identity has been so solid, I am more focused on hitting gold on identity versus hitting platinum on mlife.

The corporate/individual comps on mlife have been solid, but I've always been surprised the tier perks aren't more generous for MLIFE platinum, like they are for Cosmo's Identity Gold. On mlife, I watch my play for offers, but am less and less focused on tier, as I just don't see the perks for tier jumps on mlife, that I do on identity.

For us, Identity is probably the player program we get the most out of/find the most generous. Plus it's a gorgeous hotel :)

PS I do agree with wishing the website gave more details on accumulated points, offers etc, but that's my only wish.

Is this for a weekday?? Whenever I look on Marriott, Cosmo is usually 60k-90k. It's ridiculous

Cosmo has the best high limit VP payouts on the strip.

People who have liked my post, Cosmo routinely offers 9/6 JoB in their HL room which is unheard of on the strip except for a few places. The few places who do have 9/6JoB are usually only one hand plays. Cosmo has these great payouts on their multiple hand games; all their games in the HL room. My favorite machine is the hundred play 9/6 JoB with a 99.54 payback if played correctly. They have my favorite video poker, and the best payback in Vegas- better than the local joints even! Not many people know this, and I don't think Cosmo gets enough credit for their VP payout offerings.

I use to routinely play at Cosmo, until they changed marketing people and my host left. Now I struggle to find anywhere good to play VP. Tropicana is also good with their hundred play 8/5 Bonus Poker. Hundred play is my favorite game.

I stopped in Cosmo last trip in Vegas just to see what they did with the place, and just stopped in to see they totally redid the downstairs high limit area. Now they have their own HL slots area too. I'd like to go back and start playing at Cosmo, but I have heard the offers aren't so great anymore, and I've set up a good relationship at another strip property with my host. Unfortunately this property doesn't have good VP.

Multifariou5 or others, I'm looking at giving Cosmo some play for my upcoming trip. I have stayed at Milfe for years Excal/Lux->MC->NYNY->MGM->MB/Delano, have a host at MB/Delano and I'm MGM platinum. My offers are stagnate (3 night comp, $100-300 RC, $100-200 FP) I guess after ~30 trips MGM properties are getting a little stale, need something new. I used to do V/P in 2008-2009 but swore them off when they cut everyone's offers off way back when. Also done Encore a couple times. I'm basically a $200 avg player focusing on Pai Gow, Bacc, and Craps 4-6 hours/day. Does Cosmo match MGM status? What kind of comps does Cosmo offer at that play level for table games? Would I be better off staying in the MGM family and giving Aria or Bellagio some play. Looking for good comps in a nice resort with plenty of action/options/vibe. Thanks.

Cosmo does not match status from other properties. Cosmo is pretty generous giving comps for slot players but have heard not so good for tables.

HI bedaniels, totally get your dilemma. Cosmo is stellar, but it is tough breaking into a new hotel when you get free comps (even stagnant) comps elsewhere.

They had a string on VMB awhile back where Cosmo was possibly matching offers (not tier status), but I think they got pretty swamped, so I am not sure if they're still doing it. https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/welcome-offer-from-the-cosmopolitan.128437/page-19#post-1337236 or type in "welcome offer from the cosmopolitan" in search.

If they're not still doing it, I'd suggest go by and drop a few hours of solid play in. I've read a bunch of people have won great teaser offers for their next trip this way.

It won't cover you this trip, but it definitely will be nice if you've got front end Cosmo comps on your next trip, and once you start getting comps there, they're very generous...good luck! :D

Thanks multifarious5, my trip to MB was previously booked but I'll head down to Cosmo and give them some good play just to see if offers are generated for my next trip so I can compare to Mlife offers. Thanks for your advice.

Good luck bedaniels! I've actually read a few people on VMB who have recently played a few solid hours at cosmo and received solid teaser offers.

I'd just make sure to focus on slots vs. VP since you're playing FOR those offers....VP has a higher bar. You can always play VP later if that's your thing :D

Yes. Also note that this list of benefits is why Cosmo doesn't do tier match (except on a case-by-case basis).
