My 4 yr old son is making a mess !
I think a urinal would be better for him.
And then i was thinking........maybe better for all men ?
    So, why not ?
But I've never seen a urinal in a residential home.
    I've seen a "bee-day" ( however you spell it ? )
    ?

I actually considered this for water saving. A plummer told me it would be extremely expensive having to reroute plumbing to put one in your bathroom, so the idea was dropped.

knew two people, one my brothers co-worker, has one in his garage with no stall or anything, just plumbed and mounted to the wall...other one, brothers friends dad worked for the school board as a plumber, he always had the toilets and urinals in his yard, not sure what he done with them but he installed one in his bathroom

My friend lives in a former church and uses the former men's room as the powder room off his dining room.
    2 thrones & 2 urinals
So if you're visiting him and you really need to pee, urine luck!

I had a wealthy friend who actually had two of them, one in the half bath off the family/gathering room and one in his poolside bathroom. Both rooms also had regular toilets. He mad have had a 3rd upstairs but who knows??

That's a great idea for young ones and perhaps parties (too many flushes of the toilet and you never know what these guests flush down ! ..a concern if you have weak plumbing and system)
But it will still make a lot of cumulative mess around it from all the minuscule splatters.
You really cant keep a rug underneath it but a tile area that is readily cleanable.

I suspect the biggest hurdle is The Lady Of The House not wanting the bathroom looking like a public convenience.
