I finally stopped in here for the first time in march, I knew there wasn't a casino, just wanted to take a look around. It seemed the only place to go was check in so we ended up leaving right away. Looking back on it, I was wondering if there is a bar in there? Anyone stayed there?
I dont remmebr seeing a bar. I know they have one restaurant. It looked fancy but the name escapes me. You might be able to google it. It was something made up like DEF. I think there is a little bar with a small menu outside by the pool as well. If you stay at Trump, there really is nothing to do but stay in your room, hit the spa or swim. No casino, no clubs, no shopping no nothing. Its the least "resort" of all the strip resorts. I think they make their money with condos and business folk staying there. Once that dont care about all of that "other" stuff.
I believe there are both a bar and a restaurant in Trump Hotel. We stayed in one of the Hilton Grand Vacation Club units in Trump and it was a great place. The one-bedroom unit had 1-1/2 baths and the master bathroom was HUGE.
We stopped in for a drink a few years ago when it first opened. So there was a bar when we were there. My wife hates driving and gets lost easily so I always joke with her that she could get a job as the shuttle bus driver at Trump that runs the route from Trump over of Fashion Mall. It's only about a 1/4 mile from Trump to the mall but there's a shuttle if you don't want to walk it.
Personally, I don't get this place. There is no casino. Some might even argue it is not on the strip. I want to walk off the elevator and be in the action. And to easily walk to another casino - in Vegas! Way too many other options. Just me.
I have friends that prefer to stay in a non casino hotel. They like being able to get away from the action. Personally I always stay where there is a casino. I love the easy access to gambling. While my GF is showering/makeup/hair I'm rolling the bones.
Yea, I hear that often, along with somewhere quiet. Maybe I am deaf (been called worse), but once we get off the elevators and head to the room, it really is about the same as most other hotels. Sometimes there is a party, but that happens at regular hotels too. Like you, there is a great deal of value/fun/excitement to jsut take the elevator down to the casino and WHAM - there you are. Wife/gf can easily meet you when ready. Heck, my wife can call and I am at the elevator waiting before she even gets there. Try that from the Trump hotel!
to explain what happend, there was supposed to be 2 towers , this one the wurst one and one by the strip . and a casino in the middle, this tower bombed they coudnt sell any condos, they finaly around 2012 he unload to hilton 300 units for time shares. he was blacklisted by wynn and others so he couldnt get a casino licenessdue too ac bankrupcy and other practices. and they never built the other tower its now going too be the alon casino hotel ,also he built right on the railroad tracks big mistake, this hotel is always on priceline real cheap. i agree not a real vegas experice
they own the property , so yes and no they started and stopped, also wierd as one of the heads of wynn entertianmnt left too run alan so he fucked up big and now looks liked pushed back till 2018 or when ever same as resortsnworld . looks like the lucky dragon is the only one about too actualy open in the next year. Resorts World latest due to open 2019 , supposed to start work at the end of this year .sure
I assumed that he could not get a casino license due to the AC bankruptcies, but I originally heard that the replacement for Frontier that was demolished, was supposed to have a walkway between it and Trump Tower. But the economy crashed, and it never happened. I think it was supposed to be called Montreux at the time.
he was blacked balled here by wynn that was the biggest reason he coudnt get his licesnes, most people hate the guy, he had a front guy he used to get the licencess so it woundnt be under his name and wynn and others stopped it. notsure what your taking about with the other i know he was building 2 towers and they scapped the other one closest too the strip and he also planned on a casino. it was going to be like a condo/hotel / casino project that failed .they he sold off as time shares. alaon now is building on the the strip area .
