    My Trip Report

It has been a long time since I have been to Vegas with my wife. She likes the shows and restaurants but doesn't really gamble and gets tired around 10PM thus I have taken 10 guys trips without her between our last visit.

I grabbed a good deal at the Wynn for around $220/night for Fri-Sunday with $100 resort credit. We piggy backed this onto our family trip to Costa Rica. I call it a trip because I consider a vacation an opportunity to only take of yourself, Vegas was a vacation! I had meetings for two days in San Jose, CA and we planned to meet in Vegas around noon on Friday. I land on-time and before I left SFO my text me about her mechanical. She would arrive around 3:30 now. What to do.... I offered to wait at the airport but she said to go check in and she would cab it. I hardly argued, LOL.

Check in was long, too long for the price you pay. 40 minutes waiting in line is torture when in Vegas. Finally grabbed our strip facing room and off I went to explore. I ended up walking over to Casino Royale because I used to love their craps game. No more, 100X odds are gone, one table moved to the back but they do now have Sculpin on draft at the bar but won't serve it at the tables. Lost $200 and moved on hitting the CVS for water and 5 hour energy to meet my wife. She was beat and wanted to lay down so like any good husband I left her for a nap and I slid down to one of the $10 Wynn craps tables. I know they only offer 2X odds here but the crew is friendly and drink service is top notch. I played for about 40 minutes finding two good shooters and turning a quick $400 profit. Ran back up to the room to wake the wife up to get ready for dinner.

We took Uber over to the Cromwell and briefly tried their craps table dropping $100 but I will be back. I really liked the casino and $5 day tables with 100X odds were well appreciated. Dinner at Giadas which was good, not great and spent $200 of our winnings from earlier and then headed to MJ One at Mandalay. We grabbed a drink at Skyfall which was pack with a Lawyer's social event (insert jokes here) and then to the show. We enjoyed but if you don't like his music I'm not sure it would so entertaining. Side note, the McCally Caulkin portion was uncomfortable, they should have pulled that out. We got back to hotel and had a drink at Parasol Up and watch the club creatures lineup for their long adventures. I looked at the tables most minimums up to $25 and decided to keep my modest winnings for the day.

Saturday we had breakfast by the pool at the Wynn which pretty much ate up our $100 credit, quick visit to the very nice gym to sweat the previous night out and then to the pool around 11 AM. It was busy but we found two good chairs with semi shade and settled in. After lunch by the pool and 4 Titos later I decided to try my hand at the pool side Craps table with $10 limits. It was a fun atmosphere, good music, friendly dealers and "free" drinks. I caught the right shooter and I ran away with a quick $300 profit which was devoured at the Fashion Show mall by wife later that afternoon.

After getting cleaned up we hit SW Steakhouse which is where the night got interesting. It was the night of the MMA fight and right after the fight ended a lot of people poured into Wynn. TI and I believe it was Rick Ross came into the restaurant with their crew and then an attractive blonde sat down at the table next to us and was eating by herself, odd but I am sure it happens. Some small talk with our neighbor and she sounded eastern european (coincidence?). Two tables over were two older gentlemen with much younger attraction grabbing blondes who I would guess were on a date. I love to people watch. Half way through dinner a female from another table invites our neighbor to join her and her boyfriend/husband to join them at their table. Our waitress and I saw the same thing and it totally looked planted. Our waitress said if there is a single women in this restaurant by herself on Saturday night you can bet she makes more than I do. I hope the three of them had a good evening!

After a long dinner and some more drinks I managed another $300 profit on one of the Wynn Craps tables. The table behind us on the floor was roped off and it was $1,000 minimum for craps. I was amazed to see the rainbow of chips flying around on that table including a $5,000 boxcar bet win. We called it a night after playing some slot machines together and squeaking out another $200 win including one spin on a $5 X5 slot machine for a quick $50 win. It was a fun couples trip that minimized my time on the tables and that's probably why I went home with most of my original bankroll! Uneventful trip home and then I read about $11M slot win Sunday on a machine we played on Saturday night. We will have to stay one more night next time!

    Nice reporting.

Pool side craps.......that's just too cool. Was it in a cabana or something ? Wonder if that is a prized or dreaded gig for the dealers ?

.....and a possible lady of the evening sighting, bonus post within a post :clap::clap:
