    . . let's call properties "buckets".

Mlife has 12 LV buckets and whatever bucket you play in, that particular bucket is where your (best?) offers/comps will come from?

Total Rewards has 8 LV buckets and whatever bucket you play in, all your play - from whatever bucket, will filter into one end bucket and that is where your offers/comps come from?

    Thanks! (my head hurts)

    That is my experience.

In addition, if you have markers, with mLife, they expect the play to go to the "bucket" (casino) that you took the marker from.

In my experience, CET allows a little more leeway.

You will get offers from Corporate Marketing regardless of how you spread your MLife play. They will apply to all properties for a given period of time, but can vary in their specifics.

You may or may not get property-specific offers from individual MLife properties you play at. They may or may not be better than the Corporate Offers for the same properties.

The lesser the property, the "better" the offer will be as compared to a higher property, that generally will apply to both Corporate and property-specific offers.

CET is different in that the offers all come out of one faucet, and the main variation between offers you can use at one property vs another is the length of stay. There are some offers that involve events that happen at specific casinos, but (if you qualify based on play level) you will get them regardless of whether you play there.

Not sure about CET, but our experience with MLife fits your description very well. With MLife we could always find offers on the MLife website (and the offers for Platinum were usually pretty darn good), but the best deals we were proactively offered always came from Bellagio where we played and stayed the most. I can be an MLife basher, but things we always liked were that points accrued no matter where you played, properties you visited but were not staying in recognized your card and seemed to make an effort to make you feel welcomed (and maybe get you to move next trip) and the little perks like line passes, etc. traveled whether you were a guest or visitor. MLife is probably not as portable as CET, but it's not completely venue bound.

In my opinion, MLife and CET Total Rewards are the best overall programs for reasonably frequent visitors-both highly value and reward loyalty, and not just for gaming-hotel expenditures earn too. We stay at Wynn now and spend a lot there, but the Red Card pretty much only cares about gaming. What you get for high resort expenditures is good service.......

I prefer CETs way because I can gamble and hang around the expensive places, but stay at the cheap places and get decent value (in my opinion) of comps.

h0und, I understand. I like the idea I could game at any CET property and receive offers/comps from any CET property.

The biggie is when you go and check out and you have charges billed to your room.
If you are staying at MLife Bucket 1 and played only at Bucket 2, you will more than likely get 0 extra off.

At CET if you stayed at Bucket 1 and played only at Bucket 2, you will get charges taken off. It could be some or all.

You probably know this, but in case some newbies are reading... the offers were good because of play, and not because of the card/tier level.

Nope, I've just accumulated info from my own trips and info that other people post here. Since I only go twice a year, I play where I stay, and over the years, my play has tended to go up and then plateau for a couple of years at a time, it's probably a little easier for me to detect the comp effects than someone who goes a lot and/or their play is all over the place, both in terms of amounts and locations.

And the answer to this particular question is pretty basic stuff. It's when you start getting into what kind of offers can I expect based on my play of "X" that it gets a little more complicated.

I think most of the regulars here know as much as I do. I may just end up posting replies more often.
