Evening all thought id introduce myself
44 year old and never been to Vegas,so after saving the pennies im taking my son over in April for his 21st birthday present
booked from April 27th and leave 01st May
expectations, yep ill be totally sucked in by the neon lights ,fancy cocktails, and all the beautifull people that walk by.
    Nights are sorted
Thursday hit the casinos fer a few hours mainly sportsbooks
    Friday freemont street
    Saturday hit a few clubs
Sunday suits on and blow what cash we have left on whatever makes me smile
Fly back with no doubt empty pockets,a big smile, new tattoo and no doubt memories that will make me happy to be alive
oh and im shit at gambling hahah but its all about having fun
booked into TI so i have no idea what to expect,as long as i dont end up in a cell then ill be happy.
    Buzzin for this trip

    Welcome and enjoy the trip.

Grew up in Scotland - Dunoon. Father was in the service and spent quite a bit of my youth there. Beautiful place.

You will absolutely love it. Why mainly sportsbooks on the Thurs though? I'm from UK also and love sports betting but find vegas sportsbooks mostly underwhelming.

Sweets hoping you and your son have some time to acclimatize, as aren't you about 8 hours ahead/behind...Hope you are not sleeping during the night and awake during the day...although...that's prob what a lot of us do even if we are on the same time zone...Wish you and your son and friend well...Give it!

OK wonderbhoy that makes sense. My underwhelming comment was more in regard to the sports generally on which I have little interest in - US Racing (not a clue), Baseball (yawn :), Basketball (just not excited by it) - however I love NFL and I guess sportsbooks that time of year must be buzzing though my preference is to to a video poker bar, drink comped beers, slow play and watch the games there.

Depending on where you are staying, visit the Aria sportsbook if you can. Right down the back end of the casino it is a fantastic modern room.

I hope you enjoy your trip. Sounds like you have a good plan in place. Lucky son having his dad take him to Vegas. I'm doing the opposite next year, taking my 82 year old dad to Vegas with me.

I can't imagine going for such a short time, takes me ages to get used to the time difference.

Welcome! I went over last year with my dad too, to celebrate my 30th birthday. We stayed in TI as well, thought it was a good decision - not as large as some other places, so it was easier to get your bearings etc. You'll absolutely love it!

That sounds interesting, what do you have in mind for the trip? He must be fairly spry at 82 to be able to do Vegas!

yeah looking forward to it m8 gonnae pop my Vegas cherry,i know its a good few mnths away but already planning ,i know there no way for you to technicaly beat the casino in most games but getting bits of info from here iv picked up great tips for planning my trip,to se the record straight iv only set foot in a casino once in my life and i was drunk as a skunk when i did it and lost about £30 on roulette apart from that im a complete novice
but now iv got a rough idea what slots to go for and also just found out about the blackjack 6:5 never to touch,if i never found that out id prob be playing that without any knowledge i was getting ripped off
