I took the shuttle from downtown to Sams Town last year and really liked the place. I'm thinking of staying there a couple of days next trip and I was wondering if the other casinos on Boulder Highway are walking distance since I don't rent a car. I know they have a shuttle to the strip but I don't mind walking and have never been to those casinos on Boulder.

    Hey Now!
Eastside Cannery is literally right next door.

And the Longhorn is across busy, busy Boulder Hiway from there.

"Walking distance" is a relative term. I've walked between Sam's Town and Boulder Station, but I can't say it's a very pleasant hike with the highway and traffic signals. Arizona Charlies is a bit closer, but from now on I think I'll limit my hiking to the Canary (that's a funny typo - I meant "Cannery") next door. DUH! Hey, it's happy hour!

"Walking distance" IS a relative term. The East Side Cannery is probably between 1/2 and a full mile from Sam's Town...door to door. Sam's Town RV park is between the two.

Google maps shows the walking distance as pretty close to a half mile between Sam's and the Cannery East

Unless something's changed since the last time I walked to the Cannery, you have to go take the sidewalk along Boulder Hwy for a short distance, as there's a tall concrete wall at the far end of the RV Park. Otherwise, cutting through would be the most direct route.

It's a 25 minute walk to Arizona Charlies. Doable, but not the most fun walk.
The Cannery and Longhorn are an easy walk from Sam's.

Uh, it's right next door kinda like saying Tuscany is right next door to Silver Seven! I've walked it, and it's not pleasant in this kind of weather. Around the holidays it's not bad and should not be bad in the evening, however.

I wouldn't recommend walking at night and it is too hot during the day to walk anywhere except the Cannery. There's plenty to do at Sam's with a nice selection of places to eat and gaming. It's not a great neighborhood so be safe.

Take the bus. A 24 hour pass is just $5 and the bus on Boulder Highway runs every 15 or 20 minutes during the day less frequent at night and it runs 24 hours. This bus (BHX( also goes downtown

On a side note. If you want a fridge at Samstown , it is $15 for the stay not per day like some

We stayed 5 nights (comped) at Sam's back in March. OK, actually it was 4 nights because mid trip we took the shuttle downtown and stayed at the Nugget for a night. In my opinion, 5 nights was a little to long. If we stay again it will be for no more than 3 nights. We did do the walk to the Canary :D and it wasn't bad. But it was March during the day and the weather was decent. We did not walk anywhere else.
