Typically 3 from MLife properties, unless you have bought chips then possibly more. It will tell you in the Terms when you purchase a reward.
Other partners have their own limits. For instance, Station casinos allow 2/day. So these are in addition to the 3 MLIfe ones.

Do all purchases have to be printed or can I just show my email confirmation?

I just have them in a folder for the trip in gmail.
Aria had them on my MLife account so I didn't even need to pull it up--that was nice!

3 from MGM places. Rewards for Station casinos, Wolfgang puck, house of blues, the monorail, and the miscellaneous rewards (Mob Museum, hexx, the helicopter place, etc) do not count towards that.
I would suggest that you buy more than 3 unless you are 100% sure which ones you are using as the rewards you can buy are very limited once you are in Vegas. You can buy some extra and cancel the ones you don't use after the trip. You are allowed to cancel 5 every 30 days. I bought 5 for my upcoming trip and will only use 3.

If you have any of the mobile apps, the vouchers in the wallet in the app are all you will ever need. I've redeemed 20+ that way without a problem.

I'm confused on the 30 day rule. As I understand it I can only redeem 3 in a 30 day period. Does this 30 day timer start when I cash in for the reward on myvegas or when I actually use the item at the property? For example...can I redeem for 3 rewards today to use in early August, then in 30 days get 3 more rewards to use later in August?

For MGM rewards they count when you eat the meal, stay in the hotel or see a show.

And I say this because if a property is doing any system updates or are having any technical difficulties, having a paper print out of your promotion may come in handy...you never know right? :)

So the monorail does not count? I want to use a $50 free play for MGM and Mirage, The free secret garden passes for Mirage and then use a monorail. Is that allowed?
Will be staying for 7 nights. 3 nights MGM and 4 nights Mirage.

Also do those $50 free plays work. Are they worth it?

Monorail does not count towards your mLife limits. Realize that monorails are all BOGO.

$50 FP is a decent reward, however you may get better 'value' from a show ticket.

If you purchased chips in the game you may have up to 6 mLife rewards to use.

Are you staying at both MGM and the Mirage? The $50 freeplay requires a three day stay at the specific property.

Yeah I am staying at each hotel for 3 days. How does the $50 voucher work? Is $50 loaded on my mlife? Do I need to put down some of my own money because I really don't play slots. I'm guessing I can only keep the winnings and not the original $50?

They put the funds on your card. You bet and once the pull is done the bet is credited back as well as any winnings. You must run the $50 through a machine.
