What kind of actual slot spend would it take to make CET Diamond?

I'm Platinum with CET and currently sitting at 4000 tier credits for the year after two visits to AC. I'm thinking about going for Diamond, but I'm unsure what size bankroll I would need to accomplish this. Can anyone give me an idea of how much actual loss a person is likely to suffer to get to Diamond? I'm a dollar slots or quarter slots player (most likely single line dollar slots for my upcoming trip to Vegas.)

 

The ballpark figure that I use (I'm a 7* slot player) is $1/TC

For "base" diamond, that would be two 1000TC days, or one 2500TC day.

IMHO, if AC is your normal destination, you may want to consider making 25,000 TC this year to take FULL advantage of the Diamond Lounges there.

However, that depends on how often you will visit AC next year. If it's only once or twice, then maybe not.

That would be three 2500TC days. (7500 + 15000 bonus)

NOTE: IMHO, YOU SHOULD STAY WITHIN YOUR GAMBLING BUDGET!!!! I don't encourage anyone to chase comps (even though it looks like I do)

 

It would depend on how much of the "Daily bonus" points you take advantage of.
without taking advantage of the daily bonus's $1 per point is a pretty fair guess. (you may get lucky and be up money not down or you may have terrible luck and spend $30,000 getting the last 11,000 points you need)
but in general $1 a point is the closest you will get to a guess.


If you want to do the math based on yearly slot payouts you can see that $1 slots on the strip average a payback of 93.69% (but keep in mind that factor has the jackpots won in it.. so unless you hit something big you will be much lower)

Plan to lose 20% - 25% of your coin in. So $1 per TC is about right.

 

Getting to Diamond could very easily "cost" a few thousand dollars out of your pocket.

Actual coin in is easy to calculate. Actually dollars lost is a high variable.

Your 7 star journey seriously inspired me to make Diamond with CET. I envy the perks you got from them.

 

Yeah, the benefits ARE addicting. If you ever make it to AC, you'll see the difference at the Diamond Lounge.

At 7* the benefits are even better, but . . . there is a cost. I went slightly over budget this year, but hope to make the "over budget" portion back at GGWU.

Lowest coin in would be to do either 2500 TC's twice or 5000 TC's once. That also means making a smaller number of relatively higher bets as you aren't going to make those daily numbers playing quarters. Fewer wagers means a higher variance which means it is harder to predict the needed bankroll. But, uh, the absolute worst case would result in losing every wager (which is impossible) so $25000 playing slots. I usually feel good if I earn more tier credits (base) than I lose in bankroll.

 

Hmm... I'll have to think about this. I don't think I want to lose $5000 to get Diamond when I already get all the Diamond privileges except the Diamond Lounge and no resort fees because I have the VIP Access card. I guess I'll just play at whatever level I want and if I make Diamond then so be it. If not, then, oh well.

 

Founders Card seems a lot cheaper way to get Diamond...

 

I've been going off that figure too..and I haven't been let down, and I play strictly 99%+ video poker
ie: If I want to accomplish 1000TC in a day, I bring $1000; 2500TC in a day, $2500.
If I were you, I'd do a day of 2500TC (To earn 7500TC total), then another two days of 1000TC (for an additional 4000TC
So you'd start out with $2500, then whatever you have left..add or subtract to make $2000 (split it $1000 / $1000 for the next two days play)
FWIW, I've made Diamond twice now, for $1000-$1500 loss (however, the first time, they threw $3000 freeplay at me...hoping for a little more than $50 this time around; but I don't look think it'll happen)
