Has anybody used Presidential Limo lately? Looks like they lost their thrill for us the last couple of times we have used them. Driver not chatty and bubbly - in a rush so to speak without talking about the sites.
I remember a few years back when they would talk about what you were passing, they would take pictures with you and so forth. This has been non existent for us the last couple of rides.
Thinking about another option as we normally get in late like after 10 so unsure if Uber is the way we want to go.
    Would love your thoughts.

We used them in May and had an excellent driver; a very positive experience.

Presidential is "ok." The best car company in the city is AWG Ambassador-by far. Try them-you will never use anyone else.

Following this because I've been looking for other options, as well. Presidential used to be great. After last year's trip, not so much.

We've never recommended anyone to AWG who was not delighted with their service and vehicles. Their drivers always seem a little classier than most companies, almost like having a Wynn house driver (we put Wynn house drivers on our pedestal of greatness-no one quite as good, but if you use AWG we think you'll feel like you're having a VIP experience) We use AWG whenever we don't have a house car-never been disappointed.

Their website was difficult to navigate. Maybe they were having a problem, I will go look again.

We've used Presidential probably our last 5 trips, and as others have mentioned the last few trips didn't really add to our Vegas experience. We are heading out next week and looking at others, esp Earth limo. Will report back regardless!

I am cautious of a company with such poor Yelp reviews...(only 2 stars). It does have 5 stars on trip advisor but only 1 review & Yelp is more reliable for reviews. The reviews are polarizing--they either had a fabulous experience or very poor.

We did Presidentail in November (and have only done them) & was happy as always.
Have never had a chatty driver...but not looking for that.
That being said, Presidential does seem to need to work on some quality control. They kind of have a handle on the Vegas limo market; good competition would help that!

I don't read Yelp-consider this my Yelp review to balance things out a little: AWG is a terrific company who has given us great service over a long period of time. Obviously, opinions differ. Wynn concierges, incidentally, use Omni or AWG for guests who do not rate a house car-that's always interested me. Apparently they think that either of the two companies will provide good service to Wynn/Encore guests. We agree.

The point is that opinions of companies, restaurants, hotels, best hamburgers, pizzas, casino games, etc. differ-you need only read opinions and reviews here to know that-we only wanted to tell our story. AWG might be considered by some to be more than worthy competition for Presidential, Bell or Omni.

Vegas Tripping just rated Encore as the worst in Vegas in several categories. Really? Most people taking AWG to a weekend at Encore would be very happy.

    Just saying...........:licklips:

Johnny, I appreciate your point of view. But one (or a few) good review vs. quite a number of bad ones (and Yelp is fairly reliable; it has some advantages over say, Trip advisor reviews) is not good. That shows lack of consistency of product.
How do I know I will get an experience like yours--or like a number of reviewers there?
Regarding VegasTripping--I see them having ranked Encore as 5 stars. Where did they rank them bad?
I try not to ever put too much into one person's experience; if someone has a bad experience & shares it, but everyone else seems to be having good ones, I chalk that up to situation--ANY hotel/restaurant/limo service/etc. can have a bad day...bad employee...tech issues, etc.
Again, I look for patterns--were most people most of the time satisfied? Or do their seem to be a number of negative experiences? I also look if the negatives were recent--sometimes new businesses have to work out some tweaks; sometimes established businesses get complacent...
As long as you are happy with them, I do not discourage you from continuing to use them.

We went with Omni today. Presidential and Bell trans required that we rent car seats for the kids through a rental agency they network with. They weren't making it easy for us! Omni will provide them at no charge. I'll report back on our experience with them during or after our trip.

Thought about what I think is a really professional driver and good car service, like maybe a Bellagio or Wynn house car driver: they won't be "bubbly"-if you talk to them they'll talk to you, but if you're quiet they'll be absolutely silent too. The best drivers are the best at reading their customers-the bubbly sight seeing talkative driver would probably bother my quiet wife and me. What's important is that you get a clean car in good repair, the driver is on time and where he or she is supposed to be, the driver is professional, well groomed and provides service attuned to your particular needs and gets you to your destination safely. Boom! As you can tell from this thread there are different opinions about who does that the best, and what kind of driver you like, maybe even differences about what sources are more reliable, like Yelp or Trip Advisor.

You pays your money and you takes your chances. Or, my experience is that the best drivers are the ones you don't pay-we've never had a bad house driver from Wynn or Bellagio-good men and women every one. We often tip them more than what a hired car would cost because of the great professional service they so cheerfully render, every time. Service jobs are really hard-it's nice to hear stories about good service. Complaints abound.

I think the odds are you'll probably get decent service from any of the companies mentioned here-at least most of the time. Surely, if you don't, that will be the review event.

While Yelp is a place to some idea about a business.. They are not to be trusted. People can pay to remove bad reviews and anyone can write anything (including competitors). VMB is far more valuable a resource.

I just returned from Vegas and we used Presidential for the round trip airport service. Had a driver named Brett upon arrival, and he was great!! Even got in a couple of pictures with us before we got into the car. On the trip back to the airport, we had a driver named Shawn. Also good. Highly recommend based on this experience!!

As Tvon wrote, Yelp is not reliable. You will miss out on many good places if you heed Yelp reviews. Yelp seems like a place for whiners and complainers to congregate and do their thing.

Snidely--as far as reviews go (which do tend to attract whiners over supporters by nature), Yelp is one of the more reliable review sites. We also know there are review sites that are padded with positive reviews from the business themselves--Yelp has some systems in place to vet out those.
I look for number of reviews (the higher the better) & TRENDS. I never worry about a small percentage of bad reviews. I don't worry about bad reviews in the beginning of a new business--kinks need to be worked out. But if there is a trend of bad reviews, particularly recently, I take note. That is using reviews wisely.
There is an off chance that I might miss out on an occasional good business; but in this world of social media, wise businesses pay attention to these review sites, & address issues that are brought up.
