    Good evening ladies and gents,

I'm in a comped Palace Tower room next week, and am anticipating jockying for an upgrade to an Augustus room (with fountain view preferably) via southern charm (or a $20 bill). I know in the hierarchy of towers Palace is kind the middle child. I'm a diamond member, so the Augustus tower would be nice for the diamond check-in, lounge, and Spa. My question is if the Palace tower has any redeeming qualities. In all my trips, I've never actually been inside of Caesars, so don't know what the Palace tower is near, if it's logistically useful for quick access to the Strip, etc. Any help you can give me just so I know what I'm looking at should by charm (and money) not result in an upgrade is greatly appreciated. I generally slum it up at the dirty bird, so I'm assuming even the Palace tower will blow that out of the water.

The Palace Tower is right off the pool and the rooms with the view have great views of the pool. The layout is similar to Augustus but Augustus is much more modern in decor where Palace is I guess more traditional. No it's not near the entrance but there is a nice cluster of shops and restaurants leading to it. If you can't get Augustus, try and at least get a petite suite in Palace with the double bathrooms.

Augustus (in my opinion) is the best tower, come out of the room lifts turn right and right again and the diamond lounge is just there, then come out of the diamond lounge, take the 7 star valet entry/exit, walk 100 yds and you are on the strip.

Totally agree. We have stayed in both. Palace is convenient for access to the pool but not great if your concern is quick or easy access to the Strip. I found both rooms nice though, so it's really dependent upon what you plan on spending the majority of your time doing.

I also agree on the Augustus Tower

I stayed at Caesars in May and was in the Augustus tower and I'd definitely recommend it. I was really worried about the walk to the room as I usually do my play near Cromwell/Linq, but the walk to Augustus was no issue and not that far at all. View was great, room was nice. No issues, would easily stay there again and am considering it for my next trip

Thank you, everyone. Sounds like unless they boot me down to the forum tower for some reason, I'll be pretty happy.

Yes, you will be happy with the Palace Tower. I really enjoyed my stay there in March. Excellent tub, fantastic wifi and the tower elevators are right by the pool. I had a wonderful time and I was solo.

Even the Forum Tower isn't exactly torture (unless you like having a tub). With no more Roman Tower, really the only things that can really go wrong in your room assignment are view and walking distance.

I stayed in a Julius Tower room even though they are not as big, they were new and they are the most convenient to everywhere. The elevator is right by the cashier cage(right in middle of casino)

Agreed. My first choice is Augustus - the rooms are beautiful.
My husband's first choice is the Palace Tower. We have stayed in the petite suite with the 2 bathrooms (with a walk-through shower between them) several times. The room is large, lots of closet space and a pool view is great. If you go with with Palace Tower petite suite, ask for a room in the middle of the hall with a GOOD pool view ( I can't remember the best room numbers). In April we got one way down at the end of the hall and only had a corner view of the pool (still an awesome room though).

Thank you for the feedback everyone. Snagged an Augustus room on the 46th floor overlooking the fountains. Pretty awesome room.

Since we're on the topic of first time Caesar's stays, I'm considering moving from pH to Caesar's. Do they have in-room concessions in any of the Caesar's rooms? There's no mention on the site.

I can only speak about the Augustus Tower. They do have in room concessions including all the fixings for the Keurig machine. They are all very expensive. By the way there are no refrigerators included with the room. One must be requested @ about $35.00.

There is a new CVS on Bally's corner. Very convenient for grabbing a few less expensive snacks plus there are small snack shops (I can't remember the name) throughout Caesars.

+1 for Augustus Tower, which we got on the luck of the draw at the desk a few years back. Probably the nicest room I've ever stayed in! I would give it a slight edge over the "room at the Winn" from a number of years back.

Also stayed in the Forum Tower a number of years back, which I remember as being very nice. Long ago at the Roman Tower, before it went downhill, but I guess it's been or is being remodeled.
