How can I get special emails for Golden Nugget Las Vegas?
I have signed up but never receive any yet I have for Lake Charles and the deals are great.
Also, would love to learn what people like or do not like about GN Vegas.

GN Las Vegas is a very clean, well managed property. We've stayed there many times. I prefer the Gold Club rooms for the quiet and amenities. Have been in all the towers and none are really bad. Some say the casino is tight, but that's a matter of individual perception and gaming results. Their restaurants are good. Buffet is slightly above average for downtown. It's on the small side so don't expect miracles. Do expect good service and cleanliness. We play at GN in Jersey since we live outside Philly but much prefer Las Vegas. Once your on their Las Vegas radar the offers come on a regular basis. I did notice the GN Atlantic City is better with free play. I would call them for a rate if you have their player's card from another GN location. On the negative side the casino is smokey in spots. I used to smoke and the density in some locations bothered me. Normally it does not bother me. Their race and sports is smaller but decent. Actually it's kind of nice. They use drink tickets so you have to ask when you bet. We don't play tables so I can't help you with that aspect. I don't like their video poker, that's the big negative for me. So I walk across the street for VP. Hope this helped somewhat. Enjoy your stay Al C.

Count me in on thinking the casino is very cramped. The blackjack games lack double after split which makes me look elsewhere but other than that it is a fine property. The rooms are very nice

Nice, clean casino, many of the rooms can be a long long walk from the casino & street
Worst aspect is the staff at the front desk, players club & buffet.
Snooty, unhelpful & simply in the wrong job.

I stay at the GN when I stay downtown. The rooms are very nice, I really think the Rush Tower rooms are a great value. The casino, IMHO, is very tight by downtown standards but they get away with it because it is such a nice property. I've been on their mailing list for years and their Cyber-Monday deals are absolutely incredible (BTW, you don't have to be in their system to take advantage of this).

Pools, restaurants and housekeeping are great. Buffet for breakfast is good but the service is only so-so. I've spent many a night thoroughly enjoying myself in the Rush Lounge with their great drinks and fun bands.

I just called and reserved and they asked if I wanted to pay 30 something dollars for some perk; like front of the line pass. I declined because I was unsure.
    Thanks everyone.

I paid the #30.00 on my June trip. I believe it is called preferred check=in. Includes VIP check=in, line passes for buffet and show room . Also you get a guaranteed room choice. I did it because I wanted one of the 2 bed rush tower rooms(they only have 18 rooms with 2 beds). I was very pleased with the VIP arrived about 8:30 am(on a Sunday) knew I couldn't check in but wanted to verify my room choice. They took all my info and texted me about 11:00 am when the room was ready. VIP is nice for grabbing bottled water and snacks during my stay.

Golden Nugget is a phenomenal property.....Cathy is the best host I've ever had. Great communication and always goes the extra mile. Their slot selection is very good and BJ rules are top notch. (especially in HL area.....which have tables starting at 50 bucks and have seen them as low as 25 dollars) Will be there soon!
