chef/owner brad manchester has a wonderful restaurant downtown. great wait staff, friendly and accomodating. happy hour specials on food and wine. $ 20 for a bottle of wine with four appetizer bites is a real bargain. if you do not want the bottle of wine, buy one get one free glasses of wine and beer as well up to 630 pm. not sure if this is available on the weekends. we had the pickled tomatoes and japenese sweet corn and the garganelli smoked chicken. all other tables around us were thrilled with there choices as well, mussels, salads etc. only problem is you have to pay for parking. will definitely go back to sample some of the other interesting choices. if in the area, try this excellent restaurant that is so reasonable you really will be so, so happy. btw. the restaurant is on Carson Ave. between 7th and 8th Ave. enjoy
