So I've been in contact w/ two hosts at Cosmo and reached out to both to inquire about a possible upcoming stay July 22-24. I am going to be celebrating a friend's birthday and already have a 2BR penthouse at mirage booked for dirt cheap, but I just wanted to get an idea of pricing for cosmo penthouses. My play definitely doesn't qualify me to get this comped but I am looking to pay casino rate. Host #1 is quoting me 2.5K/night and Host #2 is quoting 3K nightly. Is this standard? Casino rate? Any thoughts would be appreciated! :)

Yikes.... That is a lot of money for a room. Is a 2BR a must? Often getting a 1 BR suite and then the other bedroom elsewhere can save a ton of money.

is the deal from Mirage via an email offer,or just through a host? Matched offers are doing well at Cosmo.

Casino rate varies based on dates. $2500-3000 for casino rate without play sounds about right. Honestly, the west end penthouses aren't worth that much. It's nice to have a ton of balcony space, but you're probably better off staying at the Mirage and using the extra dough on gambling. Another option would be to get a wraparound with a connector room at a much lower cost.

We have a pretty big group.. 15 people so we will be needing the beds. My mirage booking actually wasn't even an offer. I just booked right from the site (I'm mlife plat) and the total came to about 1300 after taxes for both nights--a steal in my book, compared to many other 2BR options. Unfortunately I already used my cosmo match during edc week :(

Yeah.. cosmo penthouses are still out of reach for now.. one day haha. Hmm that's a pretty good idea as well.. I'll ask about that. Thanks! :)

Missed that part. Lots of people. Keep in mind that the bed in the suite is usually a king.

How many people are you going to put in each room?

If you are just looking for a gathering room, I would focus on single suites.

Even if you don't have a specific Suite offer from Mirage you might have a free Deluxe Room offer that they can apply towards the cost of the suite. It's worth a call to see - I always call now when booking offers because the people have usually been able to get me better deals. I'm MLife platinum, too, and when asking about offers I usually get the, "if you don't mind holding I'll check something", and they usually come back with something a little extra or better. A lot of times my offer is for 3 free nights but I'm staying 5 - when I call in they make sure the most expensive nights are comped and have waived resort fees.

We travel with a big group a lot of the time as well and on our last trip I saw a suite that Orleans had that I think had 4 beds and it was much cheaper if you don't have to be right on the strip

Thanks for the suggestions! Ended up going with the wraparound w/ connector :)
