BLT Steak at Ballys

Any reviews from posters here? Tried searching but no luck.

Haven't heard much about it. Decent atmosphere for a steakhouse? Trying to stay mid-strip for scheduling purposes.

 

went last october, it was nice, not loud at all, dim lights, great food, normal steak house prices, use a diamond or 7* card and they will give you some free samplers....on sundays, BLT host the stearling brunch which is highly recommended

 

Went this past March for the first time, pricey but very good. Definitely worth a try.

 

I have only been there for the Sterling Brunch, and wholeheartedley second the recommendation for that. I think it would be a good atmosphere for a steak house.

 

I ate at the bar for happy hour, split a burger and crab cake, both really good. Gave us 2 of their popovers which were incredible.

 

I really liked the steaks both times I went there. The atmosphere is average. During happy hour which I think ended at 7:00PM, I had a Blanton whiskey for $7. In fact I had two of them. Great pour so I was feeling it.

 

I was there in Feb. As a diamond I got extra sampler apps and desserts. Steaks were good, service was good. Tables nicely separated. People rave about their popovers but they were so so to me.

BLT Steak at Bally's a Treat” Reviewed May 2, 2016

I haven't been in this space since it was occupied by the Bally's Steakhouse. I had been saddened to read that the Bally's Steakhouse was replaced by BLT.
But now I think the change is a bit of a step up. BLT's décor is very attractive, unpretentious and comfortable. The staff were excellent. Our waiter was on the ball at every step.
The food was very good. My wife had the Colorado lamb chops, and I had the ribeye. Both were excellent.
The only aspect I didn't like was that my steak was dripping with melted butter. It certainly tastes good, but I'd prefer to skip the gratuitous helping of calories and fat.
We finished up with an apple cobbler and ice cream, good not great.
Overall, high marks for BLT Steak.

I was there on a Travelzoo deal. It was very very good and better than expectations. Nice lobster salad to start and then a strip steak with baked potato and pepper sauce. Couldn't fit desert. Nice bottle of wine. Service excellent.

 

I've been there twice, and have reservations for my trip in 2 weeks. Go, and put the Groupon to work for you. I think it's $115 for $225 in food (2 apps, 2 entrees, 1 side, 1 dessert, 2 drinks). The quality is pretty good to begin with, but it's damn near impossible to beat at half-off.

Were they particular about the limits stated cause some items are just over the limits by a dollar or two..

Thanks for the feedback - the travelzoo voucher is what got me looking at this place.

 

Loony, last time I went they were pretty flexible. They essentially covered the bill up to $208, and we were on the hook for anything over. We skipped dessert and got an extra side for instance, and got a bottle of wine instead of 2 drinks.

 

It was ok but just as many better choices. Not nearly as good as Bally's steakhouse was imo.
