So we are thinking of staying at the Signature for my 50th since it has balconies and we are nasty smokers who figure we can get away with smoking on it. My Host says he will comp it but wonders if I'd made the walk from the casino to there.

So what's the scoop? long walk? moving walkways? Bring three beers for the trek?

It can be a pretty good walk to the casino but it depends somewhat on which tower you are in, the Signature has 3 of them. Here's the property map

IIRC, there are moving walkways. I believe we stayed in tower 2 a few trips ago. The Signature property is great and we had no complaints about the room, service or property amenities, but the walk to MGM/strip can get annoying IMO. We don't mind walking, especially in Vegas, but when we are there, we prefer to stay close to the casino/strip as we like to check out different properties and shops. The walk adds 10 minutes or more every time you want/need something from your room or to go anywhere.

Stayed there once and the walk can get old fairly fast. It really depends on how you Vegas. If you mainly stay within the casino you're staying at, it's not bad. But if you're hopping up and down the strip, going to and from your room multiple times, it's going to suck. When I stayed in Tower 1 it was maybe a 5 minute walk from my room depending on how fast you walked.

The room was nice, a little bit dated, but it was quiet and fairly spacious.

    Same experience here.
The quiet pools were a nice getaway from the weekend craziness at the MGM pools but the walk was annoying.
I must walk slower because it was closer to 10 minutes.Tower 3 feels like 3 miles!!
