Curious to know how much of a Las Vegas DEGENERATE you really are. Over the last four and a half years how many trips to Las Vegas have you taken?

From January 2012 until today June 23 I have traveled and stayed in Las Vegas 51 times. With 90% of the stays three nights. The other 10% 4 nights. 69% at Wynn and 29% at Aria..

    2012.... 14
    2013.... 14
    2014.... 12
    2015.... 9
    2016.... 2 so far..

2012, 13, and 14 were substantial winning years for me. 15 was too until the last 3 trips of last year so I stopped going in September 2015. But did end up 2015 a small winner. Only two trips this year so far (due to losing) with at least 3 more planned. A five year low.. Boo.. Side note, I never count comps into the equation but if you have read any of my TR's you know how I stay in Lost Wages. The comps would be approximately 4500 on an avg stay (golf, shows, food, suites, murder rooms, cabanas and so on) give or take.

I know for a fact that is no record as a lot of you have way more trips than that. I come from the LA area so it's easy too easy. How many trips for you? Where are you coming in from? Win, lose or even? Don't be shy we are all curious and live through each others get a ways..

Our trip to Vegas is longer than from LA (no direct flights, 1 layover) and we can never find deals under $600 for 2 tickets so that has limited us.

Our first trip was accidental lol we took my kids on a road trip to the Grand Canyon and stopped in Vegas to see an old college friend. Stayed for a couple days, didn't even gamble!!!

Hubby and I took our first flight to Vegas a month after we got married for our honeymoon. Which was 3 years ago. Since then I really have lost count how many times we have been. I think we are on trip #8 or #9. Maybe more. We absolutely love Vegas now!!! Kids do too we decided last minute to spend Christmas there this past holiday season and we had an amazing time

Here's my yearly breakdown since I started going back in '97 at the ripe old age of 34....

    1997 1
    1998 0
    1999 0
    2000 1
    2001 1
    2002 0
    2003 2
    2004 1
    2005 2
    2006 1
    2007 2
    2008 1
    2009 0
    2010 1
    2011 2
    2012 3
    2013 3
    2014 1
    2015 3
    2016 1

26 trips total since 1997 with over 50% happening since 2010.
13 have been solo, 13 have been with friends/family.
1 more planned for this year.
First couple of trips were 2 nights, now 3 or 4 is the minimum, longest trip was 7 nights last July.
I live just north of San Diego so I make the drive, about 4 hours. Top resorts: 11 stays at NYNY, 10 at Luxor (my next trip will put Luxor in a tie with NYNY). Can't say I have good stats on winning vs. losing trips gambling wise. I come with a budget and never go over it, mostly coming in under budget with a handful of trips where I came back with more - I have been fortunate enough to have an increasing budget each year. To me each trip has been a winner....

51 trips is pretty impressive in such a short time Packer! - my goal is to hit trip #50 by the time I turn 60.

Yeah, I am a lightweight in the degeneracy department

    2005: 1
    2006: 0
    2007: 1
    2008: 1
    2009: 1
    2010: 1
    2011: 0
    2012: 1
    2013: 1
    2014: 1
    2015: 0
    2016: 1

For a time I thought that this would evolve into more short weekend solo trips for poker and relaxation, and not burning vacation days. Instead, it seems to be moving in the other direction with longer trips centered around golf and events, but having them less often.

When winning, single, live only 50 minutes away and have your own business its much easier. I have friends who go 20 times a year. You may know some of them from here.

I haven't been much - only like once a year because I'm coming from the East Coast.

First trip was in '96, then didn't return till 2000. Since then have been averaging 1-2 trips a year, so must have been at least 20+ times by now, I've kind of lost count .Last 5 and a half years must be at least 10 trips. Dropping of the Canadian $ might limit our trips in the future. I am going solo for 3 nights in August, then October we're doing a timeshare exchange at the Polo Towers. After that is uncertain.
Yeah 14 times in a year is a lot, but i guess if you're in driving distance why not?

We went a good bit in the late 90's, Then we had a kid, which meant family trips to Disney and the Florida coast. The kid also cut into the monthly budget. Fast forward to 2014, the kid started college, we started going back to Vegas. Kid turns 21 next year, cannot wait to drink and play VP together.

    Back to trips.
    2014...3
    2015...3
2016...2 so far, my first Solo trip will be next week, trip planned for just prior to Labor Day, then again at Christmas.
From 2014 to now I'm down a bit over $4k, so just over $500/trip.

From home to hotel takes us 9 hours, we live in the middle of Georgia, fly out of Atlanta.

At least one trip since 1986-2013. I had to stop due to layoff from company. Hotels that I have stayed at: Circus Circus, Stardust, Flamingo, C Palace, Bally's Paris, MGM,Las Vegas Hilton and Orleans. Going back for 2 nights for 2016 Super Contest Aug 26 & 27th. Won a 2 night stay @ Westgate and a entry in 2016 Westgate Sports Book Super Contest that cost $1,500 to enter by picking 9 out of 10 Super Bowl props via a mobile app called Gambalino.

Packer - Looks like Fuzzy Math to me... Haha! Have you been 51 Times? Or 149 Times like it says on your Avatar?
After my First Trip, 17-18 years had passed before I went back a 2nd time. I went with the wrong person and actually hated Vegas.
Swore I'd never go again. Been 27 times Total so far. I did my one and only Solo Trip back in 2010 so I'm due for another.

The odd thing is that the more money I make the less I've gone. That said, buying a house this year has slowed me down, but next year should pick it back up again.

    2012 - 1
    2013 - 2
    2014 - 2
    2015 - 0
2016 - 1 (8 hour layover that pushed me +$390) so far with a 4 nigher planned for December.

Living all the way on the other side of the country certainly has its disadvantages.

Do you really think January 2012 was his first trip?

Somewhere between 60 and 70 trips. Started in '91 with one trip and two in "92. Since then until about 2010 it was 4-5 times a year. One year I went eight times including three trips in six weeks thanks to massive miles and comp and or discounted rooms. I wish I would have kept a log noting dates, length of stay travels partners if any, golf courses played and any noted "finds" deals or happenings. Would be nice to reflect on.

    Good Luck!

Don't have it broken down by number of days, but seventy two trips over the past five years. I am little sick to stomach just writing that, lol

I started the log at about trip number 15 - I was able to look back at all the previous trips and note the month/year and any highlights - I use the 'comments' in Excel cells to type in the notables... now I have some detail about every trip I ever took - some have lots of text and some very little - NYNY Trip 8/2007 has one comment: 'Met crazy chick at NYNY center bar' - looking at that one sentence I can remember the entire trip! of course I'm sure in her log for the same trip she might have wrote 'met asshole in NYNY'
