Got what I feel is a good rate of $1069 for 5days/4nights from NYC for 2.
Almost went with Flamingo, had my mouse on the button, but decided to check rates later.
Had Luxor, Bally's, Harrah's as choices as well as MGM did not come up for my budget.
But, then, somehow MGM appeared for same rate as above so I took it.
Heck, it comes with 2 free buffets.

Now I need to book some shows.

The MGM Grand is a great place to stay. They have one of best pools in my opinion. The tough part will be the countdown to your trip!

Are you saying you got 2 air tickets, plus 4 nights for $1069? Great. You are already a winner.

Just keep checking rates, at the MGM and elsewhere. You may end with an even better deal.

Sounds like he bought a package deal on Travelocity, I think the combo deals are hard to lower/get a refund on.

Yes, it looks like a package deal somewhere. I know sometimes folks find a great one with the airlines. Though I generally advise against booking the hotel via a3rd party, sometimes it just makes $ense.

And, in almost every case, once a package is booked, you can not make rate changes.

One of the best deals I ever got before I started getting comped rooms was through a site called Earlyvegas. I stayed at MGM and got a rate of $89 a night that included breakfast, lunch and dinner for both of us at the buffet.

The MGM pool complex as Mr Trump would say is HUUUGEE If you have never stayed their before look it up on youtube, there are a handful of pools and a big lazy river and tubes to rent or buy to float on. Also wolfgang puck inside the mgm casino has IMO the best burger on the strip. Enjoy your stay!

Package deals can be good sometimes. You're locked in but if you get a good price that's fine.

Travelocity it was indeed. No refunds, hope I dont get sick, no deaths in the family, etc.
But David Copperfield is out because of Jewish holiday.

I got this package, any suggestions on shows.
