Hey there. I'm new to the board. Wondering if anyone knows whether we can use an Aria 2-for-1 buffet, and pay with Express Comps for the second one so it's free?

Otherwise, we're considering Mandalay Bay buffet through myvegas (we can get one each), but would prefer to go to Aria if possible. We've already used the single dinner buffets at Aria before, so from the fine print it looks like we can't do that again.

Heading to Vegas on June 21 - can't wait!

    Thanks all!

We haven't done it in Vegas but just the other day used the buy one get one at Biloxi Beau rivage and used express comps to pay the rest. Actually hubby used buy one get one and I used buy one get one and express comps and dinner for 4 cost us only $9 :)

I don't know why you couldn't - I've not done exactly that, but I have used a My Vegas free drinks pass for the Aria buffet and paid for the buffet itself with my card, so I don't see why they wouldn't let you.

You should try to buy the single dinner buffets again. If they are a new batch you can buy a reard a second time.

I have heard differing stories. Some have said you can, some haven't been able to.

ECs should be fine, but RCs not.

I am thinking, now, it was about charging the other to the room. (Using resort credits for the other)

Interesting. We will get $50 resort credit at Aria, and I was assuming that, if we hadn't used it by the time we went to the buffet, then we could charge it to the room and it would be covered. Hwr, check-in is Sat and we can't use the buffet until Monday, so chances are those RCs will be long gone! ;)

Thanks everyone for your comments! Maybe I'll try my hand at a trip report when we return, and I'll let you know how it worked out.

    Cheers
    (9 more sleeps...)

I did the 2 for 1 at the MGM for breakfast in March and I could not use my EC's to pay for the one.

Maybe it depends on which Casino........Back in February I used both a free buffet and a BOGO from MyVegas, then told the cashier at the Buffet that I would like to use my EC's to pay for the BOGO and he said "No Problem". The 3 of us ate the brunch buffet at Mandalay Bay for free.

One time the Mlife desk told me I could not use the EC to pay for the other meal. Then I asked the cashier at the MGM buffet and she let me do it. All the other times they would not let me use the EC. I charge to the room and use the resort credit to pay for it. I also will have my wife use the one my vegas buffet and not the BYGO and then I use the express comp to pay for mine.
