So next week's forecast is 112-115 degrees. What the hell? I've been to Vegas in the spring and fall but never in the summer. I'm beginning to think what the hell did I do???

Haha I am thinking the same thing. I went this same time last year and the highest was 90. That was doable. I am thinking lazy river from dawn til dusk or inside day drinking and nighttime strip walking!

I've found the dry heat is pretty bearable. Was there last July and walking around in 105ish didn't bother me too much. I'd take 110 in Vegas over 85 in humid Ohio.

It's been around 90 and very humid here in the DFW area so maybe it won't feel that hot to us there.

We arrive on Saturday night and it's looking toasty for the first few days. The hottest we've seen there is 117 and it was interesting!!

My dainty self couldn't do it, that's for sure. After seeing the extended predicted forecast, I pushed my July vacay back by 6 weeks toward more accommodating temps.

I have been to Vegas many times that it has been that hot. It is a lot harder on me now then when I was younger.

I hope you moved it to September because August is usually hotter than July.

Been to Vegas a few times in summer and while there's no question it's damn hot, the lack of humidity makes it somewhat bearable. Just drink a lot of water and don't walk too far. Made the mistake some years back of walking to the LV Hilton(now Westgate) then down to the Sahara. Could barely breathe when I got there.
Anyway, if you do it right you can stay inside most of the time, especially the west side with the trams etc.

We're getting monorail passes and plan on walking thru every casino we can as we make our way to where we need to go. I have a bunch of stuff planned out so we aren't walking aimlessly down the strip in the unbearable heat trying to figure out what to do. I don't think I've ever felt 115 degrees in my entire 40 years of life so this should be interesting!

We were there last week and it was hotter than normal 105-107. We didn't expect it, but it really didn't bother us too much, but this next batch of heat sounds like August weather

Yep, plan your walks well between casinos. The long way, but still inside is always better.

The tram from Bellagio to Aria/MC really does do you much good. A short walk out the back of Bellagio to Vdara and then into Aria still gives your lots of indoor walking. Unless of course you are planning to just skip Aria anyways.

Yep, I live in Florida and I go to Vegas every July to be more comfortable than it is here. 110 and relatively dry is a walk in the park compared to 90 degrees with 80% humidity. "It's a dry heat" is one of those cliches that rings true if you live in the humid climes. Still, 110+ is pretty damn hot........:beer::beer:

What is bad for us in Arkansas is that we have a lot of 100 degree days and we have high humidity as well.

A couple of years ago I was in Vegas in June when it was over 110 - this was for my 50th... I walked back from Caesars to Luxor, when I got there I realized I was a bit dizzy - I'm in good shape but I think that was a bit too much. I chalked that up to turning 50 and not drinking enough water... my normal Coors Lights were replaced by water that night as I played blackjack... be careful out there folks!!!

A few years ago it was 115° and the heat killed the battery in my SUV. Had to call a tow truck to restart it.
