Thinking of booking a Resort King room at Mirage for the week surrounding Thanksgiving. I've seen the pics of the rooms on their site but I do have some basic questions:

    1. Do the views range all over the place (from having a view of an HVAC, Cyder wall or even a nice view)?

    2. Do these rooms have a walk in shower or are they the typical bath/tub combo with a shower curtain?

    3. Are the rooms in good shape?

Thanks in advance VMBers. Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated.

The views range all over the place, Strip/Pool/Volcano views as far as I know are considered premium view which may cost extra. I've had them all, including the "free" mountain view. All in all, I think the view is nice regardless of the room.

Standard king doesn't have a walk in shower, only tub/bath with a shower curtain. They have tower king rooms on the top 2-4 floors, can't remember how many to be exact that have both the tub and a walk in shower but other than that the rooms are pretty much the same.

As for the rooms, they are in good shape and nice in my opinion. Never had anything bad to say about my 41 nights I've spent there in the last 3 years. :)

I like the standard king rooms. Good value and nice. Great location.

I last stayed in January. While the rooms had a nice upgrade, the bathrooms not so much. My only complaint would be all the trash that people throw out the window. I was on the 24th floor with a semi volcano view over looking the atrium and could see a bunch of trash on the roof below. Magazines, plastic bags, Styrofoam takeout containers, etc. Made me mad that people would throw trash out the window like we're in a 3rd world country.

Resort Tower King rooms have a really good walk in shower and a bath plus two separate sinks. They have their own lifts too, up to the 24th floor. The views are amazing! Slightly more expensive but well worth it!

Stayed there for business in a resort King. View was overlooking the strip and the bathroom was slightly bigger than my coworkers with a nice bathtub. Otherwise basic room. It was clean and fine. Not Palazzo, Wynn, Aria, Casears or Cosmo, but fine enough. After all who spends most of their time in the room anyway in Vegas?!
