Yeah, same here. I'm busy that day so I'll miss it.

Gotta remember, sports fans, this is a business. And if there's a market for an all female Ghost Busters well, shucks, why not an all female Eee-O-Eleven?
I just wanna see what the box office for these turns out to be. It's Hollywood, and you don't have to have an original idea...you just gotta have an idea.

Hey! Remember that movie "Casablanca"? What if we were to ...

The pitch was out there for a while but they just started rounding out the cast. Not pleased. For what they want to charge for tickets, they need to do better than lazy retreads. And apparently, bitching about all female casts fronting remakes sexist to boot. Hollywood sucks more often than it shines.

How about "The Hangover" with an all female cast?

Well, the 2001 version is on my list of perfect movies - ones I wouldn't change a single tiny thing about. So it's not possible to top that.

This remake could be an OK film if the script is OK. Soderbergh is on board. Of course, he was on board for 12 and 13 too.

"Ocean's Ocho?" Damn. They'd better change that title, lol! I know what "ocho" means but in context with Ocean's it sounds like a non-mentionable body part.:evillaugh:

I think it is a great idea to have fun all female cast movies, especially ones where the cast does more than complain about their husbands/boyfriends , drink cocoa and support one another.

Thus the style of Oceans Eleven with an all female cast has potential. But as with any such story, the fact that they try to retread the story and leverage the brand name just makes the whole thing weaker, not stronger. People already have strong ideas about what that brand is and what it means, so instead of the typical gain of an audience due to familiarity, they just piss off the potential audience, and then get in a fight over whether it is sexist to be pissed off.

I'd watch it, just like I'll watch the all female version of Ghostbusters - which is another of my favorite movies. But I do agree that the 2001 Ocean's version was a great movie. It is my favorite Vegas movie and I watch it before every trip. I do love the third Ocean's almost as much.

These all women remakes are more about the sheer lack of originality in Hollywood than female empowerment.
