What up, it's The Trooper

Ran across this video blog on You Tube run by "The Trooper97". He moved to Vegas a couple of years ago, has bumped his daily blog to five days a week, is a poker player and also deals poker at The Linq.

Great shots of Vegas, interesting take on Vegas from a local poker player. Very entertaining.

Any other fans on VMB?

 

Love the troopers vlog .......gives you a little fix between trips.

 

I'm a fan of his. He is really good at making videos. He is pretty entertaining, funny, and smart.

 

I'm also a fan... I like that he answers back on a lot of the comments and letters he gets, people send him gift cards, tee shirts, etc. and some of his fans have even made it to the Linq to play poker at his table. (where he works as a dealer). He also shows some pretty cool sights of the city, downtown and the strip.

 

Watch his vlogs every day. Met him once at the Linq, he remembered me and mentioned it in his next day's vlog. Nice guy, friendly, and makes good videos.

 

I will try to head to the Linq this weekend. I usually play tournaments or limit, but I'll take a stab at $1/$3 No Limit if there is a seat at his table.

I concur with all of the replies in this thread.

 

1/3? Probably will get 1/1 there. I really miss the 3/6 limit mix game!

Bravo also says they offer Open Face Chinese Pineapple for any stakes at $10/player/30 min. What a fucking joke!!!! The linq will never get a high enough stakes game to make that worth while. $10/hr maybe...but $20/hr...lolololol no way.

Been following that dude before he made the journey to Vegas. His videos are topnotch and you can tell it is a passion of his. I think he enjoys vlogging over playing poker.

 

Love The Trooper! His videos are well made. I'm not a big poker room player, but I'm going to try to say hello in a couple weeks.

Never heard of him until this thread. Checked him out, now I am hooked.

 

Let me be the voice of dissent. I just didn't care for him from the minute he opened his mouth. The video shown is all about him and which tournament to play in. He rolls around 5 forever in his head, then finally picks one and doesn't do all that well.

Nice views of how crowded Vegas can get. I don't remember if he showed the fountains, but I guess he did, everyone loves to see hydraulically propelled water shoot into the air accompanied by sappy music.

I didn't like him, his style of speech or the way he kept repeating himself. He revealed nothing new about the town and is just a guy walking around with a selfie stick talking about himself.

 

I'm not a poker player, but do find him somewhat amusing..

 

Enjoy his vlogs. First started watching late last year. yeah, he repeats himself a lot and drops a few f-bombs but he always comes across fairly likeable. Not sure if he's going to achieve the dream of living off poker but he's even admitted he's not a poker player who vlogs, he's a vlogger who plays poker. And goes to Starbucks. A lot.

Vlog and driving...hmmm...might be considered distracted driving I would say.
