Anyone have experience with this coming from the east coast or elsewhere? If I am getting in to town after midnight - how "early" can I check-in?? I am sure I can entertain myself for a few hours, but not worth it if it is until 6 or 7am. Most likely NY NY. Thanks!!

It was years ago but once our large group decided to pass on a room for Saturday nite since we usually stay up until dawn anyway. BIG mistake....by about 5 am....we were dying & must have looked extremely pitiful because the clerk at Paris felt sorry for us & we got a room before 9am. Seems most of them now want to charge an early check-in fee.

I am OK with a reasonable fee for checking-in early, and definitely expect it. Ideally I would like to be able to check-in by 3/4am at the latest if possible. Mlife gold if that means anything.

Depending on price, it may be worth it to book that day in order to secure a room, but the key would be if an onLine check-in was feasible (CET has it I believe).

Based on experience (although a while ago), when the cleaning crew goes home that is it.
If there aren't any rooms available you won't be checking in until they arrive in the morning again which is around 8:00 which means the earliest would be 9:00.

I also suspect that checking in at 3:00am they would charge you for that day anyway.

I definitely did an "early check-in" at Flamingo at 2-3am in 2014.

The earliest I was able to check in was at 8:30am and it was at the MGM Grand. Of course they had a queen room available as it's such a massive hotel. This trip on Saturday might be a little bit trickier.

I land at 7:30am and will be heading to the Luxor. I already have the "early check-in" fee of $10 noted (it's cheaper if you call and request the early check-in, rather then just show up and ask it's more expensive, I imagine NYNY would have the same policy.

Luxor says the early check-in is good for 11:00am but I am going to try the $20 trick when I get there a little after 8:00am and see if I can swing something. I have a queen deluxe tower room booked but I'm solo now so I'll take a King and see if I can swing an upgrade. We'll see.

We land at 8:00am on a Thursday a few weeks from now, booked through Dean Garret at NYNY. I know hosts don't accept "gifts" but we plan on sitting down to breakfast somewhere and texting him to join us for a cup of coffee on us. From past experiences I think this will get our trip off to a great start including an early check in ;)

I know its off topic but does anyone have any other ideas of a nice "gift" for someone who lined their trip at the casino?

I always tell folks early checkin is possible and we have done many morning checkins. By morning, I mean after 8 am. In the middle of the night is a totally different story.

BIGGEST issue - they have to have a room available. If the hotel is full, nobody can help you. I would book the extra night myself vs taking a chance of not getting a room until 3 the next afternoon.

I paid $20 to check in at 9:00 am at the Luxor the last time I went. I had an expensive camera with me and didn't want to carry that thing with me for half a day waiting for regular check in.

My Last trip to Vegas was 4 nights comped at NYNY. I arrived on a flight from Pittsburgh at 10AM. I was MLIFE Gold and they refused to let me into a room until after 3PM. I was used to checking in 10-11am just about every hotel I stayed in like the Bellagio, Mirage, Palazzo, Wynn, TI, even the MGM and Monte Carlo. I could not win on the NY slots, just loosing left and right. I pay attention to my slot points to maintain the gold status and something was going haywire with points not registering. I got no satisfaction from the players club, a host would only speak over the phone instead of checking the computer tables that show all of your play. Well that was the end of ever staying or putting a dime in their slots at NYNY.

No way the normal early check in us 3/4 am. You might get lucky and have the agent override something. The earliest you can hope to check in early would be maybe 8 am but more like 9 or 10.

I would say your best option is to book an extra night (many people do).
You arrive after midnight, that is still the previous day in the eyes of any hotel. Many people check-in after midnight.
It would be nice if a guest can steal a night by claiming it is already the next day.

I absolutely checked into the Flamingo at 2-3am as "early check in" in october 2014. Arrived to the hotel a little after midnight, spoke with front desk, checked my bags for a couple of hours, hit the tables, and then was able to check in a few hours later. Folks had told me that this was an option beforehand (otherwise I never would have tried it!). I think I paid an extra $40 or something? I was wondering if anyone had similar experiences at NYNY

I've checked in at NYNY before 10am on a couple of occasions, but to the poster above's point, I was lucky because they had rooms available.

The simple answer is, it's all based on availability, and you won't know until you literally arrive and hit up the front desk. It's VERY unlikely you'll be able to check in that early in the morning, though, and frankly I wouldn't want to get a Vegas trip started off by pulling an all-nighter then waiting around tired and in frustration to check in. Probably best to book the extra night.

I've stayed at NY many times and have never been able to check in before 1p. It's usually a pretty busy place due to the lower price and good location on the Strip.

I am not sure that time if they already started charging resort fee at Flamingo.
But the room was dirt cheap for sure. $40 is more or less the same as one night room + resort fee if any.
