Not sure. The email stated in June, so I'm sure we'll know more soon.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured there had to be more behind the email than simply renaming Mlife as Mlife Rewards.

That sounds pretty underwhelming if it's accurate. The benefits are so minor, and I would wager that almost everyone interested in those minor benefits, already has at least pearl. It really needs something to set it apart from the total rewards Visa.

Depending on how they implement it, it pays (depending on type of spend) either a 1% / 2% / 3% or a 2% / 4% / 6% rebate in the form of Express Comps/PointPlay.

You can get Gold easier via Hyatt.

Agreed-Hyatt credit card gives you automatic platinum status at Hyatt which crosses over to Mlife Gold when you link the accounts. Easiest and cheapest way to do it.

Yeah, can't figure out for the life of me why they wouldn't give you at least Gold status with the card, Total Reward gives you Platinum for the first year, which is a similar tier level, though you have to spend something like $10,000 per year to maintain that status from the card.

I might get it just because I spend 3-5 trips a year at Mlife properties and getting 3x points for what I spend there would be nice.

Great. So now every Tom, Dick and Harry will have a buffet line pass and access to the priority check in line. Kind of cheapens the "perk".

Expect program changes, specifically some benefits moving up to a higher tier, if this information is true.

When I saw it, I laughed. Hope there is an annual fee version with better benefits, but doubt it.

Ah, I was wondering what all the teasing emails were about.

Yeah, underwhelmed. This might be good for a new member to jump up to Pearl, but honestly for the seasoned Mlife member I don't see much reason to get it. Maybe if it was your primary card and you use a CC all the time it would make sense.

The Mastercard shows up on the MLife website now with an application form. I'm guessing it only available to US residents since it is through the Bank of Omaha or w/e. Bummer. I may have considered getting it.

Agree with many of you. Weak benefits.

Has anyone applied yet? No annual fee I might just apply to use at Mlife resorts.

Not even for free Pearl and parking privileges, at that rate, on principle.

Not worth much to most people. Could come in handy for those just short of a higher tier - even though it will not change comps.

That's easy to avoid. Just pay off the balance each month. :D

I travel hack with credit cards, but I am thinking this is not such a good one for me personally and not worth the credit pull at this time. Of course you could spend $100,000 at a grocery store/gas station in a year and get platinum based on the tier credits.
