I'm on a RCCL cruise as part of my mlife Platinum perk. I'm playing BJ and receive two aces. Naturally I split them and draw another ace. They tell me I can't resplit aces, which I would expect, except they have an electronic sign of scrolling rules and it says, "Player may split up to three times for a total of four hands." Other messages on the sign say, "Dealer must hit on soft 17," and "Player may double on any two cards."

I call casino management over, but they're useless and just say it's an internal rule. I ask to see the rules, they say sure, but then can't produce them.

Would anybody else make a stink? They should be forced to follow their posted rules, the sign says nothing about excluding aces.

RCCL is incorporated in Liberia even though their ships registry is Bahamian. (probably for tax purposes and regulations)

Pebbles11 - it's a bummer for sure; won't help for this cruise, but send a letter to corporate detailing your issue and ask for clarification for future cruises.

I guess the only thing I might say is they need to turn that sign off until they can FIX the advertised rules. Ask them why they are stating the rule and now saying it is not the rule.

They are welcome to use any rule they want, no matter what that rule is.
But they can not change them at will.

They need to agree that the sign is wrong.

As to a stink... I would point out the sign and then be done with them.
