I haven't been to KC area, was wondering about the casinos in the area. Is there enough there to be worth spending a days...

There are several. Ameristar and Harrah's are my two favorites. Not sure there is enough to do at each property for a few days but Kansas City is a cool city and there is plenty to explore.

In my not so humble opinion, Ameristar (the old Station) is the best of the bunch. Isle Of Capri downtown is my second choice. I NEVER seem to win at the KC Harrah's! Their buffet is (or was, have not been recently) very good. Argosy is dark and tight. I'm always amused that when you drive from Isle of Capri to Ameristar you can see the remnants of the long-closed Sams Town on the way.

I like the STL market better, but the KC casinos aren't bad. Ameristar is definitely the nicest on the missouri side, imo. And I would also consider going to Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, the newest casino in the metro area, and there is a nice outlet mall nearby.

We might be going late this month to see the Royals play. Ticket prices are a lot higher than they used to be though. :(

While I'm certain that's true, they're actually dropping rather rapidly along with the fortunes of the '16 Royals.

As for KC casinos, I only go to Harrah's. It's got everything I want/need, and it being connected to the Total Rewards program is obviously huge in making sure my Vegas stays are taken care of. But there's really nothing else to do in the area where Harrah's is located in North KC. Downtown/Power & Light is not too far away, but it's still a 15 minute drive. And Harrah's is not as close to the stadiums as I would like it to be either.

We had an excellent stay at Harrahs - but as mentioned it probably took 15 min to get into downtown for us. (Maybe only 10, but traffic was heavy). It was at least a good starting point for us & the comp room of course was definitely a benefit. At time I was not Diamond but lines were long at buffet & Diamond lounge was in a temp location during a remodel. We went to the movies at the theatre by one of the other casinos (was that Ameristar?) and saw a movie. Went a couple other nights to BBQ joints. Went to the WWII museum. Arabia Steamboat Museum was very interesting. Took a longer drive & went to Sierra Bullets in Sedalia, MO & did a tour and picked up brass (tour was very interesting - our guide loved his job). I'd have to hunt to find add'l things for us to do if we went back - we don't always agree on the same touristy things lol. (And he does NOT gamble). I actually didn't mind the location for Harrahs in the respect that it was fairly quiet there (last weeks business trip was at a hotel RIGHT BY THE FREEWAY). I also went thru KC airport about 4 weeks ago - just not a very flyer friendly airport lol.
