If I can borrow the baseball term for having one of every different type of hit in a game, I was curious how many of y'all have hit for the cycle at different properties and which hotels they were.

"The Vegas Cycle" is what my friends and I call having stayed at a hotel, eaten at its buffet, watched a show there and used the spa. Since we've gambled almost everywhere, it doesn't add anything to our counts to include where we've made at least one bet. And baseball's cycle only has four components, so I like using htose four.

I keep track of lots of info from my various Vegas stays and looking at it this way taught me a little about the type of visitor I am and which hotels match best with me.

The four hotels where I've hit the cycle are MGM Grand, Mirage, Luxor and the Rio. As an mLife player, I was honestly surprised to see Rio but I've always liked that hotel. I think it's a good value for a visitor like me. I'd be happy to see it sold to another family of hotels where I might be more likely to stay.

All of these places had a good show that I thought was reasonably priced or it was easy to deal with a hosts to get tickets to something worth seeing (Mirage and Luxor).

I don't actually use spas except for when my play will get me something comped. I really just like to buy a day pass and clean up either in the middle of a long trip or right before I head home. Gotta wash the Vegas off me.

    Your experiences?

I have a bucket-list goal to stay at least 1 night in every casino on the strip.
Only get there 2 or 3 times a year and the number of places I have yet to stay at is increasing faster than I can stay in them.

That's my Vegas Cycle and I hope to complete it before I expire. :rolleyes2:

I had two cycles, seeing every wedding chapel in the area and playing every publicly accessible golf course (and now I think I've tagged all the private ones, too).

I use this phrase sometimes when I visit Tunica. But I have to visit all the casinos to complete it. There are currently 8 remaining there. I probably do it on maybe 1/4th of the trips.

As for your cycle, if you substitute spa for pool for me, my only cycle was at Mirage, Terry Fator in Feb. 2015 was the show.

An appropriate cycle that fits me would be to hit a cycle of craft beer bars. Strip (TAG Lounge), Off-Strip (M Resort), Downtown (D Long Bar...meh, options suck), and a limited gaming location (e.g. Aces and Ales). Did that in Aug. 2015.

Given the original question, I'd say Rio, MB, Caesars, Bellagio, Mirage and Ti. For us buffet is the limiting factor (in several ways). We've done way more Vegas resort spas than buffets, and we still spa.

In my younger days, I hit for the blonde/brunette/redhead cycle in one trip. Ah, the devil may care attitude of my youth. I can hardly recognize myself.

I actually enjoy more hearing what your "cycles" are since my combo obviously doesn't appeal to everyone. What motivated the wedding chapel review, ken2v?
