Hi we will already been in vegas when our friends arrive. It would be fun to pick them up with a limo and make a drive trough LV Boulevard.

So i've got a couple of questions:
1- is it better to just go to the airport with a normal taxi or maybe some other cheap way?? and then rent a limo?
Or rent the limo at the hotel/internet in advance and go with the limo to the airport and wait?
2- any tips on what limos are great and what company's i have to avoid?
3- if we rent at the airport can we choose? or do we have to pick the first limo that is available?

We've never rent a limo, so hope someone can help.

If you take the limo from your hotel to the airport, the clock starts when they pick you up at the hotel. If there is a delay in the flight, luggage, whatever, you are paying for that time. It's not so bad if you book it for 2-3 hours, but booking for an hour could possibly be used up quickly.

Taking a cab, Lyft, Uber, or bus back to the airport shouldn't cost you more than $30 to get you to the airport where the limo per hour would run $60-$100 per hour. If you take the cab and book the limo for airport pick up, the clock for the limo starts when the plane lands, so you'd at least get some good use out of it.

You could have your friends call/text you as soon as their plane lands, then you could go down to the cab line and ask them about renting a limo to go to the airport and back. About the same amount, maybe a little cheaper and your friends may have to wait a few minutes after getting their luggage.

All of the companies are pretty much the same, but a lot of folks love Presidential Limo. If you want your choice of limo though, you'd probably need to negotiate that ahead of time or pay extra for the bigger, nicer limos at their booths.

If you do it ahead of time and end up cabbing it back to the airport, the driver, with the type of car you've picked out ahead of time, will meet your friends at baggage.

Personally, I loved when our large group rented a stretch hummer to go pick 4-5 folks up at the airport, head to the liquor store, get our picture at the Vegas sign, and cruise the strip for a little while. This was a 3 hour rental and was worth every penny for the 15 folks along for the ride :drunk:
