I was wondering if someone might be able to help with a question I have about booking Mlife hotel / freeplay / resort credit offers back to back. I recently booked two Mlife offers for an upcoming trip in July...4 comped nights at Aria, followed by 3 comped nights at Mirage. Additionally, freeplay and resort credit were included in both offers I booked. It's been a while since I've booked Mlife offers including freeplay and resort credit back to back, and while I've never had any issues double dipping with the comped room portion of the offers, my recollection is that I can only redeem the freeplay and resort credit for one of the two offers. Can anyone verify this? If this is the case, then is there any way for me to select either the Aria or Mirage offer, or am I somehow defaulted to one offer over the other? In my case, the Aria offer is better than the Mirage offer, so I'm just curious if it's possible for me to select one over the other. I can't remember exactly how this works, so any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

You shouldn't be able to book back-to-back offers in the first place, freeplay/RC or not. I'd read through the fine print or call mlife and ask. Did you book online or over the phone? Interested to know cause the website wouldn't let me book back-to-back.

My understanding is that they have recently tightened to the point where you can't even use the room comps back-to-back anymore. If you booked a long time ago, you might get grandfathered in, but I would check by calling.

Since you'd prefer Aria over Mirage, and Aria is your first stay, I'd call Mirage VIP Services and see if they will honor the comp nights. If not, you can have them cancel the reservation right then, or move the dates if you're staying longer than 7 nights.

If you play high enough, a host at Mirage could give you 3 nights comped without using an offer code and that wouldn't violate the 72 hour policy, you could consider asking Mirage VIP about that.

Another question- if you see two different promotions - let's say for the Bellagio, and they aren't MLife promotions but they are two different promotions through the Bellagio- could you book those back to back?

Bellagio or Mlife - pretty sure they are all treated the same. One offer at a time.

I was told 72 hour wait applies in between stays at MGM

I assume the 72 hours is for actual offers, and doesn't include tier discounts? I booked a 3 night comp/FP/RC at Luxor and then 2 night paid stay using tier discount at mirage. I assume that doesn't count and the website let me do it.

Not so much stays, but OFFERS or COMPED stays.

A tier discount is not considered an offer. You can back-to-back a tier discount with an offer, for the same property or a different one.

In the OP's case, even if you booked two offers, when you checkin to the second hotel, they will tell you to pay for the room because you just used an offer the day before , or the same day.

Following up on my original message, I contacted Mlife with my question and received a reply from a host services coordinator at Aria. I wanted to verify that my reservations at both Aria and Mirage were, in fact, complimentary with the exception of the resort fee since unfortunately email confirmations for reservations made online or over the phone don't include rate information (a nuisance in my opinion, but that's another topic for another thread). Anyway, the coordinator did confirm that both of my reservations were, in fact, complimentary with the exception of the resort fee, so as I suspected, there were no issues with booking complimentary hotel offers back to back.

As for the freeplay and resort credit tied to each offer, the coordinator verified that when booking back to back offers which both offer FP and RC, only one FP/RC offer can be redeemed, and it defaults to the property you stay at first. So, in my case I'll be able to redeem the Aria FP/RC offer, which is fortunately the better of the two FP/RC offers I received.

This verifies what many have found.

You can not book back to back offers (room + other stuff). But, based on play, you can book an offer and then do a followup comped room.

Lucky you! Are you Noir status maybe?

Just to make sure I understand what the OP is saying:
You have an mlife comp room offer - plus FP/RC booked at Aria, also were able to book another mlife comp room offer at Mirage immediately following Aria with no 72 hour wait?

I've asked my hosts at both Mirage and Bellagio and the answer has always been: there needs to be a 72 hour wait between mlife comp offers at different properties. However, I've had 3 night offers with FP and RC, and my host has extended my stay to 5 and 6 nights at the same property, but no additional FP/RC included.

In fact, one time I tried to book two offers back to back at different properties, when I called to book the second one at a different property, I was told that since I already had an offer booked at x, I would have to cancel that reservation to book y, or book y at least 72 hours after the reservation for x..that is when I checked with my hosts and both said - 72 hours between comp offers is required.

Or maybe some hosts can override the 72 hour rule. I'm curious if others have had the same success as YOleven?

What method did you use to book each hotel, Yo?

A host can book you with additional nights back to back with an offer, either at the same property as the offer, or at a different one. The host-booked nights do not constitute an offer, so they don't violate the policy.

We have definitely seen accounts recently where MGM is not letting you book offers back-to-back, even when you exclude the throw-ins from the 2nd offer. I don't want to go searching for a thread on this, but I'm sure it has occurred more recently than the older policy of letting you book back-to-back but needing to drop the throw-ins from one offer or the other.

So Yo's booking at Mirage may have been done through a host, which eliminates the 72 hour rule, or it could be just another MLife inconsistency where what you can do depends on who you end up talking to.

Level of success will be tied to your level of play.

Someone getting a basic room and $50 FP is probably not going to get anything more.

That is probably correct - and the terms and conditions listed on the offer should reflect any variations to the rule. Some of the offers that we get waive the resort fees on the comped nights..some don't. The wording of the terms on the offers are different so you can clearly tell which is which. Could be the same for this, for people of different play levels.

We've been held to the 72hr rule for the last 2 years or so, but we are not high rollers

I did actually use two different methods for booking my offer, but only because one offer could only be booked over the phone. Those familiar with Mlife offers know that, for whatever reason, some offers can be booked online, while you have to actually call Mlife VIP services to book others. My Aria offer was booked over the phone, while my Mirage offer was booked online through the Mlife website.

Maybe I've just been lucky, and I'm by no means a High Roller, but I've never had any issues booking back to back MGM / Mlife offers. As was discussed previously, you can only redeem one free play / resort credit offer if you book multiple offers that include free play and resort credit, but taking advantage of the free room portion of these offers back to back doesn't seem to be an issue.

I think you are saying, you did NOT book back to back offers, but you booked one offer, and then did a free room after that.

I'm reading what he said as, he booked one offer online, and the other one didn't have a "Book Now" button, so he had to call to book it. But both were MLife offers; they just handled it what I'd call the "old way" which is they let him book back-to-back, but without the throw-ins on the 2nd offer.

A few of my newest offers on the MLife website don't have buttons to let you book them online, you have to call.
