Well, that was fast..... Reopens Thursday.

    http://vegas.eater.com/2016/4/4/11358068/blt-burger-lvb-burgers-bar-mirage

It will probably be the cleanest it will ever be when it reopens, right? Assuming they had pros come in to clean it and also got rid of the people that caused all the problems previously...

(Mods, not sure if you cared this was its own topic or if you wanted it with the BLT thread, I just figured it would be buried there.)

Didn't it already open like within 24 hours after it was closed? Pretty sure they've already cleaned up the mess and taken action on the people responsible. Hope the new place is as good, I really liked BLT.

Much like with many places closed down by the Board of Health, it's probably the same restaurant, with the same owners and just a different name.

Mirage took the restaurant over from Esquared Hospitality. I'm pretty sure they just used the Health Department fiasco to void the contract so they could take the operation back in house and turn the reigns over to a new chef.

That was what I was figuring too. That was a major fiasco that gained a lot of attention. They wanted to end all ties and distance themselves immediately.

If you read the article, you'd see that it is new owners, new management, and new chef.

Chef Michael LaPlaca is the chef at Portofino (previously Onda) and IMHO doing a great job - love the Chicken Rollatini Parmesan he introduced there - I think he will do a fine job bringing LVB up to those same standards in addition to the new menu.

My wife and I loved the milk shakes at BLT. We look forward to seeing the changes and trying it out next month.

Agree that the staff was horrible. Very unprofessional.

Does anyone have a link to the new menu?

I passed by it many times last week, but I found it to be overpriced. Rather, I had a great burger at Grand Lux Venetian. I paid $12.95 for chophouse burger, which has 10 ounce patty. If you go for the 8 ounce patty, I think it's $10.95. LVB's cheapest burger starts from $15.

Grand Lux burgers never disappointed me, and at these prices I don't think I'd try LVB.

It wasn't bad when I ate there 4 years ago. But I have read multiple bad reviews since.

I think she meant how bad the hygiene/other issues were. Probably not that bad since it really was only closed for a day, sounds more like a slap on the wrist. The foos was excellent quality wise in my opinion, nothing bad to say about the place.

Grand Lux in general is such a thrifty and tasty option. Honestly cannot recommend that place enough.

Yeah, that's a bummer. I thought they had a fairly large selection of shakes...not spiked. I only see 3 shakes on the menu now. :-(
