I received an offer that includes One Norwegian Cruise Line® voucher for two and was wondering if anyone has redeemed something similar. I understand that it does not include taxes and fees, however it was not specific as to how long a cruise is redeemable. Is it good for a 3 day cruise or 7 day cruise - again, the offer does not specify that and was hoping someone may have some additional insight. Thanks in advance
from which casino was the voucher sent? I have received and booked a cruise on a CET voucher. Taxes, port fees and "non-commission fee" of $200 was added to my total. The voucher is limited to any 5-7 day cruise from a number of ports throughout the country.
The distribution is May 14-15. Must be booked by 7/15 and used by 7/2017. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
$200 non-commission fee? Dang. I paid just the taxes and port fees for my mLife cruise and didn't really like that.
It is through CET, thanks for the insight. I did not see the $200 fee disclosed anywhere so good to know.
Hi 7out: I have used CET cruise certificates for NCL as well as Seven Stars Annual cruises for NCL in the past and have enjoyed them. One of the important things you need to look at is whether the offer is for a "balcony" cabin, an "ocean view" cabin or an inside cabin. The balcony cabins are the best ones they give out and you might want to pay the upgrade fee. Also, as you probably know, the cruise is not "free" -- just heavily discounted. And the cruise also includes a $12 per day service charge used to pay staff (presumably in lieu of a gratuity). On the plus side, you do get a card for well drinks in the ship casino. The certificate is good for a 7 day cruise. You will find at the certificate giveaway there will be one or more NCL representatives to answer questions. If you are interested in a heavily discounted cruise, it is worth it. You might combine CET aspirations flights or Seven Stars Retreat to get to the embarkation port. There are a lot of different features on the cruise and I am not sure what you are focused on.
There are many different kinds of cruise certificates offered. From everything paid for to ones on the short (not recommended) where you pay lots of fees and everything in between. Along with the answers here, do a search on CRUISE and you will more.
Here are the totals I paid using a CET cruise certificate for a 7 day Bermuda cruise out of NYC in July 2016 Total Guest 1 Guest 2 Admin Fee 400.00 200.00 200.00 Gov Tax/Port Exp/Fees 397.30 198.65 198.65 Gross Total 797.30 398.65 398.65 So this works out to be almost $400 per person. Booking the same identical trip at that time would have cost me $1295 per person, so I saved $800. Not that bad; of course I wish that it was all free, but there's no such thing in life as a free lunch!
This may well be similar to what the OP has been offered. Or it could be totally different. So hard to say.
I'm going on my approx....7th NCL freebie cruise next month. I've been averaging 2 per year.... 3 if you count Princess, but I get those freebie cruise vouchers thru Stations, or from Princess casino offers. Anyway, Its a good deal, especially if you like to cruise. I am NOT familiar with an Admin fee??? NEVER been charged that. I usually get offered a free Inside cabin. I usually upgrade.... Costs me approx $100 pp to upgrade to Ocean view or more for Balcony. We pay Taxes & Port charges. Which is approx $340 pp. for 2 people in your cabin. (everybody pays this) So you are saving whatever the cruise costs. We are going to Alaska again, next month, with Ocean view cabin which is Fine. Saves us approx $900-1,100- pp, for getting freebie cruise, and just paying Port charges & taxes. Thats a big savings if you ask me.
We picked one of these up earlier this year and are booked for a 7 day in October. I was surprised that we were also able to get the "Ultimate Beverage Package" which is a huge bonus for us. We did pay to upgrade to the balcony. We have done four NCL cruises (paid) and it has become almost as much of an addiction for me as our Vegas trips. We did the math and figured out that even paying the taxes and port fees, etc. it was still too much of a bargain to pass up. I am also headed back next month to pick up another voucher. Of course, it doesn't hurt my feelings that I HAVE to go to Vegas to get it
Just a month ago I used the free cruise on Royal Caribbean through MLife. I'm Platinum so I got a $750 credit towards any cruise, and they also gave me the casino rate. I went during spring break on their largest ship the Allure of the Seas. I first looked it up on the internet to see what a normal person would pay and it was about $5500 for a 7 day Caribbean cruise. They gave it to me for $2200 and that included all taxes, fees and prepaid gratuities and was for an outside balcony room. I have also used the Caesars 7 Stars cruise on Norwegian. I used the annual trip to fly for free to New Orleans, and we stayed one night before and after at Harrahs New Orleans. We did a 7 day cruise to Mexico/Central America. It included an outside balcony room and I think I paid about $800 for taxes, port fees and gratuities. I am a regular cruiser, so the free cruises are great for me, I have been on 17 cruises.
Just wondering if you have to show interest in a cruise or if it is just given to you? I am an avid cruiser and have gotten comped cruises through a cruise line a few times but never through a land based casino. Also who normally awards these?
