    Hi

Are there any places that have this game mid strip?

    What are the minimum bets?

Every casino on the strip has 3 card. Lower and mid tier props will usually have $5 tables, nicer joints will often start at $10, possibly $15 during busier times.

Play blind everytime. Don't pretend there is any real strategy whatsoever to this game... It is a fancier version of War.

That's absolutely insane. It's poker man... You play blind on 2, 4, 5 offsuit?

If I don't have Q, 10, rag, I fold and save a few bucks for the buffet. Statistically, that is the proper play.

According to the Wizard, Q, 6, 4 or better is the play.

If you do this, then for 1/3 of your hands, you give the house a 67% advantage.

I play Q-8 and up...unless I see the queen first...then I play the other two cards blind, as I do when I see an Ace or King first.

$5 tables at The Linq. It's the only place I noticed it this trip... and that's only because the tables were in the way of my beeline between the Tag bar and the bathrooms...

Actually played 3 card and high card flush for $5 @ CP this past Feb. Yes Feb. and it was weekdays so YMMV, but saw several different $5 tables in the mornings, Miss. stud and UTH (no BJ though).

I agree. I only play the pairs Plus bet. (And a progressive type bet for $1 if they have it) I had not played 3-card in a number of years but sat down at 3-card at Red Rock on my last trip to Vegas. Got two straight-flushes within about 10 minutes for $270 each. Lost a little of it back but walked with a $500 profit.

I think most or all CET properties have $5 3CP, definitely during the day and I've played it late night at Bally's at $5 as well.

Maybe I wasn't paying attention when I was there are couple of weeks ago, but where did you find the 3CP at Bally's.

    Thanks in advance!

Unlike some of the other CET props, ballys always keeps the carnival games (3 card, crazy 4, UTH) at $5, even during busy times. Even on friday and saturday nights during march madness, I have never not seen $5 tables at ballys.

$5 at Paris and Ph this past week. Mostly $15 at Cosmo with an occasional $10 midweek.

I know that beeline too well.

But yeah, I can't name any casino that doesn't have 3CP. Does Casino Royale have it?

I wouldn't recommend playing blind since the dealer qualifies more than 2/3rds of the time (69.6% actually), so you lose more money by risking double on your weakest hands and never folding. It increases the house edge for the ante/play game from 3.37% of an ante to 7.65% of an ante. Optimal strategy says you should raise on Q64 or higher.

I understand the HA, and what optimal strategy is.

However, The variable that most people refuse to recognize though is that all those numbers you want to throw out there are over the long run. So if I was to sit at a table for three hours with the same table min bet, then sure... Play only your Q x x. I personally think the game is as exciting as watching paint dry, so when I'm throwing down the cash its 10-20 hands max. It's short term, anything can happen. But more importantly, you're in Vegas. You're gambling, XXXX strategy.

NJS... I (obviously) agree that for 1 or 2 hands, playing blind for a quick hit & run is not a bad strategy...so long as you're ok with risking 2 betting units to win 1, you will actually win more hands than you lose...something like 52 to 48... just remember though - those "48" are 96 lost betting units. Your 52 wins, about 17 of them are 1-unit wins, and 35 are 2-units... so, only 87 win-units.
The problem with 3-card is that, even though you will win more times than the dealer by playing blind, the times that you DO lose, you lose twice as much as you win. So - that's why playing blind is great for 1 or 2 hands...perhaps 3... It's not so great if you keep playing that way over time.

Play quarters and enjoy the night that you get 2- 3OAK's and a straight flush dealt to you within 10 minutes (or 3- 3 OAK's in less than an hour). When they start sliding stacks of black your direction for green play, it's very nice. I'm a blackjack player and only on a handful of double/split occasions have I even come close to those rewards. 2,3,4 clubs at the $25 level. Huge. That's hot yo-leven type action. Watching paint dry? Bah!
