    My Trip Report

    Yes........8 Years !
My wife + I used to go several times a year......before our son.
    *
Somehow, I was still on Borgata reward system radar ?
    One night at $79 plus $15 Resort fee + $5 parking --
Next night comp'd ( plus resort fee + parking )
    *
So ?.......when did 80's singer Eddie Money become Rodney Dangerfield ?
Well, looking at his AC roadside billboard -- he had that dorky Rodney look from
    Caddy Shack ads.
I was laughin' my ass off drivin' by in the car upon my near arrival !
I would have called my business agent + did some complaining about THAT billboard !
    *
Borgata personnel took care of everything without a hitch - check in + out ----
    and updating my rewards info.
    *
I thought my room would show some wear..........it didn't at all --
I guess, they're spending some of that resort fee on upkeep ?
Best part of my evening in my room was - drinking an adult beverage -
in the marble shower stall - hot water on full blast for 30 mins + unwinding
muscles worn out by chasing/lifting my son for the last 4 years !
The simple pleasures !,,,,I never even thought about - the last time I was here !
    *
    VP at The "B" bar.
    I was astounded = 9/6 JOB !!!
    .25 to $5.
    I played $5 a hand + lasted 2 hrs on only $20,
Then, the next $75 was gobbled in a flash !
I never heard anyone hitting a royal flush, either evening, during my play.
    *
The Highlight on my trip ?
Was that feeling I haven't had - of walking up to the VP bar - about to
dive in to play VP !.........order a great beer + watch a ballgame !
I hadn't experienced that feeling in 5 years !,,,,,,,,,,the last time I gambled !
Wow..........I thought........"Oh, yeh........I forgot this !......this is nice !":nworthy:
    *
    Second Night...................HOOKER ALERT !!!!!:rolleyes2:
Somebody saddles up next to the open chair next to me.
I hit a small win.......and I hear a comment about it next to me.
I knew without even looking !
    AND I WISHED I HADN'T LOOKED ! :eek::eek:
This wretched, emaciated, obvious drug addicted hooker is looking at me.
    Smiles at me........
And she has RED SPOTS all over her face !.......tiny RED SPOTS !!!....Measles ?.....at least !:vomit:
I cringe and quickly look back at my VP game.
Bartender ID's her for a glass of water. ( "How about an antibiotic chaser with that ?" I'm thinking ?)
    She complains and leaves.
I say to bartender Robert = "That is very sad.....just sad."
    *
    Anyway -
As one of my gaming associates ( dubbed "Rainman") says
    " I didn't win............but I had a good time."
    ( He also coined - " I won........but I lost." )
    *
    It wasn't Vegas..........but it filled a need,
    *
Trying to rebook this spring........but will I have the opportunity ?
Maybe.......sayin' three "Hail Mary's" and an "Act Of Contrition" will help ?

Liked the report Joe!! I've seen some weird things at that bar also..Never really had a polite conversation with other players there like I have many times at Harrah's or in Vegas.
Bartenders suck also if they don't know you..

Thanks for the report Joe, sounds like it was a long time between drinks, so to speak. I need to get on Borgata's radar, comp-wise.

Re: Eddie Money, he was a little rough looking in the 80's, I can't imagine what 30 years and photoshop looks like now. I saw him at the Brandywine club back in the day. As for confession, during my last trip, I made a visit to St. Nicholas Tolentine church a couple blocks away from Resorts. The architecture is stunning.

Nice report. I get that feeling when I get to Sam's Town Tunica. Run up to the bar to play 9/6 Jacks. But considering how nice Borgata is, it's pretty crazy that the game is offered.

And sad state of affairs with that hooker. But I've been carded for water too, at the Casino Royale Outback bar...lol

Good rundown Joe. I have a pair of "younguns" and I have been finding myself more drawn to AC VS Vegas. Its so easy to get around with kids, there is plenty for them to do down on the boardwalk. The shops are actually shoppable for a family and lots of cheap eats to go around.

I always split my trips between the Marina & the Boardwalk so I get the best of both worlds. The Vegas experience that the Borg offers and the family fun of the ocean and boardwalk.

A tip if you bring the kid with the next time. During the warmer months the Borg will shuttle you down to Brigantine beach for free. They will bring your towels and drop you off on a private beach. They even include the beach tags if you are staying there! Between walks near the marsh, kid friendly indoor pool & an easy laid back food court you can make a family trip out of Borgata. You really cant go wrong.

Nice info on the beach !.....I had no idea.
I can certainly "sell it" to my wife ! .....as she wants to
bring the little guy to a beach.
    Yes ! - pool + shuttle/private beach !.......I think we'll
have a winner come mid- June !
I booked 3 nites in June ( at Check out )- just to reserve a room - wasn't sure we could actually go ?
    Thanks Grid.

    Funny thing was -
Bartender Robert told the Hooker " I always I.D. everyone at this bar."
I felt like saying "You didn't ID me ?"
    He didn't.

Hammie I love the church also, last time we went to Mass there were about 12 people for a sunday am service, homeless guys lounging on the pews in back and the priest was so old he had to be helped up on the altar. But the church is beautiful, the type of old world construction you dont see anymore.
