    Trips to Las Vegas:
    30
Back from Vegas a few days ago (I will write a report -- short story, losing (with some wins) but a FANTASTIC trip!), and am already planning my annual birthday trip, which will take place in August. For the second half of my trip I will be at Caesars Palace for the Seven Stars Signature Event but will stay at Wynncore the first half of the trip. I usually get offers for 3 comped days but my host has booked 4 days comped the last few trips.

I'm hoping to receive 5 comped days and am going to send my host a note regarding the same. I'm thinking he'll do it as for my most recent stay he comped off about $1200 in charges beyond the comped room and $500 in free play I received but was curious the longest some of you Wynncore fans have received a comped room. I've gotten 10 day at Caesars Palace but I assume getting that many comped days at Wynncore would be nearly impossible for all but the highest rollers.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

I know I have had four nights comped. Can't recall if I have ever done a five night trip there. Will probably stay there myself in August. Good luck planning your big trip

I've had 7 nights comped at the Wynn. I'm not a High Roller and usually get a Wynn Deluxe Resort King. For my upcoming trip in May, my host has arranged for 5 nights in a Wynn Panoramic Corner View room. The marketing offer I received was only for 3 nights and $500 in free credit in a regular room but he upped the deal for me to 5 nights in a upgraded room and threw in a daily F/B credit + limo.

I was previously told by my host that the Wynn looks for a minimum of 5000 Red Card points/day for a comped room. My guess is that if you generate at least 25,000 RC points during your trip that you won't have a problem getting the 5 nights comped in a regular room.

As long as you have the play daily there is no reason why they won't extend the comp nights for you.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Yeah, I remember reading actually back end comps come AFTER 5,000 to 7,000 a day in points. Some days I had less than that but one day I had more than 12,000 so it all averaged out, which is why I got about $1200 comped off on the back end plus my host did the pick up in RR and had a limo take me from Encore to Caesars, where my mother and I stayed for the second half of my trip earlier this month. That was really cool actually I must say and the driver was sweet about it. Said it happens sometimes and there was something so cool about him that I didn't feel when I pulled into the Augustus Tower entrance though I enjoyed CP as well. You realize though, even Wynn as its busiest doesn't feel quite as chaotic as CP.

Anyway, I would love to stay at Encore Tower Suites my entire trip but with the comped room and events surrounding the Seven Stars trip in August I might as well take advantage of that and stay there for the second half.

Thanks UKFanatic! Maybe I will see you in August. I'll be there from the 18th until the evening of the 28th.

Some friends and I are planning a trip during the last half of your stay. I think they want to stay at Wynn, but we haven't made a final decision

Wanted to report back. My host was great. He said no problem on 5 comped nights and actually increased my slot play by $250 over the offer of $500 and added $100 for F&B + limo.

Since I posted the original note, my mother, who had a fabulous time during our April trip, invited herself to join me for my August birthday trip! LOL. Seriously though, the mother of my best friend from law school passed away today, which, among other things, reminds me how blessed I am that my almost 84-year old mother can roll with me in Vegas! Anyway, she loves Encore so I added a 6th night and my host was able to do at a host rate of $237 for the Encore Tower Suites for that last night. He'll probably comp it off on the back end based on my play, but even if he doesn't I'm very happy with the fact that I'll be staying Encore Tower Suites for 6 nights (5 nights comped + the $237) with $750 in Free Play, $100 F&B and Limo. I'm so excited!

The last four days of my trip will be at Caesars for the Seven Stars event. My host may pick it up later but I went ahead a booked on my own a second room with a roll in shower (easier for my mom) in Augustus at the casino rate for my mother and niece. It comes to about $800 all in (including $160 in resort fees and taxes!) but I think my host will pick up the second room like she did in April. While my mother and I are at Encore my niece will be at the Flamingo in a Go Room with a strip view, where I booked 4 nights on a offer that includes free play and 2 nights I purchased with the current CET hotel sale at a very good price. Hopefully the host will pick that up as well, but even if none of the casino rate rooms are picked up I've basically got 2 sets of hotel rooms (Encore/6 nights + Flamingo/6 nights and 2 rooms in Caesars Augustus Towers/3 nights for one and 5 nights for the other) for 19 hotel room nights in all at the total cost of about $1200 all in, even if none of the "paid" rooms are comped off on the back end. I'm very happy with that!

    bdautch, LOL.

LetsDoThis, Jardin was wonderful. I ate outside as it was a perfect Vegas Spring morning but I love the fabulous floral displays inside the restaurant as well. I had I recall a kale salad with salmon on top and a very refreshing cocktail. Service was a just a tad slow but was otherwise good and the prices were reasonable for Wynncore. I sat on a covered patio overlooking the Encore pool within an hour of checking into Encore. It was a great way to just reflect and rejoice in the fact that I was finally in Vegas.

It will be a must do each trip, along with Tableau, which I enjoyed for breakfast two trips ago though I didn't make it to Tableau during my April trip.
