    I'll be bringing a new player Downtown later this month. Has anyone done the 500 on us loss promo at the plaza THIS YEAR? From the info I could find on earlier posts, the qualifying machines may have changed since the promo first began;
    My two main questions are:
    1. Can you EARN the loss rebate by playing vp machines?
    2. Can you USE the loss rebate on vp machines?

Also, someone said you could only earn rebates in multiples of $100, So if you lost $240 you would only get a $200 rebate. Is that correct? Thanks.

I played in January. I won, so I can't comment fully on #2.

    1. You can earn the rebate playing anything.
    2. Ask a different person, get a different answer. Literally there were two people at the players club booth with different understandings. But my recollection is you can use it on any of the non progressive machines. Someone else can correct me if that is inaccurate.

The multiples of $100 thing is correct. Also, be aware it is 24 hours, not calendar days (you can't sign up at 11:59 pm and get free play at 12:01 am)

Good job. I'll take the win over the free play any day.

Speaks something of their casino when you can't get the same answer from the 2 people working at the PC. I think they like to keep the player in the dark. Too bad, not a good business model for future success.

I just did this the end of March. You can play anything to lose the money. I know the new Monopoly machines would not work with it but most of the other new slot machines would. You get half the rebate the next day but must return again the day following that for the other half rebate. I was told that some of the video poker machines near the sports bar would work with this but they are the ones with the bad pay tables.

I lost my $500 the first day but won on both of the days I had to come back to play and was only down about $30 total.

Did you earn points on the original $500 loss?
Do they have some kind of sign on the machines that allow the promo play? If not, that could be very frustrating.

There are so many different stories on what can and cannot be played. I'm ready to just stay away. The new player I'm bringing down would have a low tolerance for that.

    Thanks for your perspective.

I was a member of the old Plaza players club, does anyone know if I am still allowed to take part in this offer?

Does anyone know if the following is possible? Signup Friday at 1700, hopefully win but if you don't win get the first 250 of the rebate on Sunday at 1630 and the second part on Sunday at 1730? (Like this you stay within the t&c I think???)
Or can you only pick u the second part 24 hours after the first part?

It has to be 24 hours between losing and pick up. They give you another 24 hours after the time you pick up the first day. There is a time printed on your ticket.

No. As Beth said it is 24 hours.

When you lose you go to the booth to set it up. They timestamp it. You come back 24 hours later for half. Then 24 again.

Sounds like your saying you must go to the Players Club AFTER you lose to get a time stamp so you can return to PC 24 hours later to get half of free pay. Is that correct? I did not know that.

Say you only wish to lose $300, can you go to the Players Club and get a time stamp AFTER 8 hours of play and then return 24 hours later to play? Or, do you have to wait 24 hours after your first machine play?

Actually I am not 100% sure on this detail. They gave me a card with my sign up time on it when I went for the promotion, and I thought they said to come back to the booth if I lost, but I am not sure. So I don't know if the first 24 hours is from when you sign up, or from when you claim your loss. I think it is the latter, but you may want confirmation.

Yes, will need to confirm this as we only have 3 full days to accomplish this quest.

Just got back from Vegas and did the rebate my first night. Yes, it is still going. You can loose the $500 playing any machine. According to the man at the booth: from the time uou sign up to 24 hours later is the time frame they tally your losses. In my case I signed up at 7:30pm Saturday. At 7:30 Sunday, the first half of my losses would be given back as FP, the other half 7:30pm Monday.
Also, according to him, you can't use the FP on VP, although I've read on here you can at some VP machines. All the ones I VP machines I saw had a "no FP" sticker. I didn't check them all.

I loaded $500 into a VP machine, ran it up to $1100, then back down to $700. I then called it quits. Mainly because getting from the strip to downtown on the bus was such a PITA, I didn't want to spend half my trip on the Duece goimg back and forth. And hey, a win is a win.
