So my host at HS Tunica has been trying to lure my business for several months and has offered my gf and I tickets to the Tracy Moragn show later this month. The gf is a big fan so we are going. I haven't stayed at HS in over a decade. I gamble there from time to time (mostly craps and the HL room). And I got a tour of the property a little over a month ago. Still, if any members have any tips or tidbits about the property to share, I would appreciate it. Thanks

We went there a couple years back; we were diamond level..but I'm not sure if that got us any "better" room..but the room we had was definitely nice! It was on the 11th floor, looking east, it was a "premium 1 king".

The thing that impressed me the most about the HS 3 years ago was they didn't mind taking nearly any bet as odds on craps. I know I saw $5 on the passline with 1K backing it up. I don't know if this is still true.

I prefer Chicago steakhouse at the GS to Jack Binions at HS

Rooms are nicer at the HS.

The Bands are usually better at the GS.

Anything in particular you are wanting to know?

Buffet is not open all week any longer-but still enjoyed my meals there. Room very comfortable each time we've stayed. Never made it toDiamond lounge last time - so no advice there. I really like it there. We have a vehicle so do tend to go to Waffle House out on main road for breakfast.

Ouch. I didn't notice that. It's been a far fall for that buffet. Doyle Brunson claimed that was the best buffet he ever ate circa 2000. Considering how busy the casino is, it's sorta bad they can't justify keeping the buffet open every day. Most (all??) other Tunica casinos still keep their buffets open during the week even if they may be bleeding money.

100X odds on craps (All CET Horseshoes offer this I believe), so you can get a lot of action for betting minimum pass line/come bets.

Horseshoe has a small amount of craft beer at the bar near the poker room. Ghost River Golden Ale and Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan are probably the best choices. I usually get at least one of the latter per trip. If you need to take a table break, it's 9/6 DDB (98.98%) nearly floor wide for on the game kings for dollars+, including the bars!

No idea if BJ rules are better/worse than GS. Would be interested to know if those are different at all.

I know the BJ rules are the same. They also have a single deck game in the HL, but my memory is that the additional rules make it not a very good game.

    Thanks for all the tidbits

The Buffet is open everyday, but it only open for breakfast on the weekends. They opened JB's cafe for breakfast Monday-Friday.

Ok - at least I remember that right. The snack bar was fine but I actually like the old one better. Snack bar was 2x RCs also so I used food credit from room there at 1/1

Went last year Place is still nice.packed on weekends slower on weekdays. Great bands at the VP bar stage. Easy very easy walk to Roadhouse and Gold Strike. Food is really good. Rooms are the best as far as beds go but I like the rooms at roadhouse since each one has a jucuzze tube in the middle . Have fun

Try the Million Dollar Burger at the 8 Oz Burger Bar. You won't regret it.

Its been a decent little trip. Huge poker tourney going on, which has brought in a different type of crowd. But have definitely enjoyed myself
