    Hello There!

Me and my friend are in vegas for a week in september, getting in on a sunday. I have the first 4 nights comped at the luxor, then have pencilled in the 4 queens on the thursday night as i would like to spend a night downtown and its just a cheap place to crash.

Then comes the dilemma, I want to surprise my friend with a decent sized suite on the last two nights which are friday and saturday (ideally centre strip). I've had a quick look and the best i could find for my budget (around $600-750 a night) is the boulevard suite at Planet Hollywood which is $725 per night. Is this the best i can hope for??

Also, i have never stayed at a CET property before and have only just signed up for total rewards, so if i book an expensive suite for a couple of nights can i expect any standard comp rooms in the future or is it based solely on play in the casino. I ask this because i am planning a trip in 2017 with some other friends on a smaller budget and comp rooms for the whole week (combining mlife and cet comps) would be a big help.

As much as everyone always says stay in the nicest rooms first, you could get far more suite for you money if you did the suite during the week instead of on the weekend.

Also room comps are based on play, not what you spend on the room.

I understand different trips with different "friends" but you might receive better comp offers for future trips by gambling the funds you have earmarked for a center strip suite. The added benefit is you have the potential to win (or lose) additional $$$, enabling you to purchase the upgrade on the spot (or not).

Unless your friend is used to LV and requires a suite experience, you will get as much bang for the buck from a strategically located room in any of the front-line properties. Also, if you choose this route, try the $20 trick.

One bed or two? If you only need one, Aria has a lot of good choices in that price range if you can get a 15 or 20% Mlife Tier Discount.

This is per night with the 20% discount for Sept 9 & 10:

ok thanks for the tips :) I'm kind of caught in a couple of minds now! I am considering not straying downtown on the Thursday night and instead getting a decent suite for the night, and then staying in a standard room somewhere on the strip for the Friday and Saturday.

my friend has never been out of Europe, so I want (for one night at least) to show him the High Roller side of Vegas!!!

*2 bedrooms would be ideal just in case one of us gets lucky :faint: ;)

I'm predudiced, but I highly recommend Venetian or Palazzo. Not a suite as there isn't a second room, but IMHO some of the nicest rooms on the strip. Large and luxurious, definitely be a change from Luxor! They do had 2 queen rooms as well if you need two beds.

I think paying big money for a suite is... well, not my best idea. Sometimes the suites are not so exciting. Yea, lots of room, etc. But, after a bit, it gets old you and just want to go hit the bars and casino.

Impress your friend with a nice dinner, or show.
