What buffets have good prime rib, and are they only certain nights

 

Main Street Station on Saturdays has a prime rib and scampi buffet for $15 with players card.

The Redwood, inside Cal, while not a buffet has a very nice complete 24 oz PR dinner for $30.

You are not going to find the approximate $1 per ounce prime rib dinners we have back here in WI in NV.

 

Cal prime rib special is $9.99. Includes salad bar or soup, prime rib, starch and veggie, plus cherries jubilee with Lappert ice cream. Magnolias at 4Q has a good one too.

 

The prime rib special at Palms 24/7 Cafe is very good. I believe it is $9.99.

 

The only buffet that I thought that had prime rib, that didn't just taste like roast beef, was the Bachanal Buffet. I agree that a prime rib special at a restaurant would be the better choice.

 

M Resort Studio B Buffet has restaurant quality prime rib as well.

Aria, Bellagio, MGM, and Mandalay Bay all have excellent Prime Rib! Some, folks may disagree with this post. But I have throughly enjoyednthe prime rib here.

 

I've always enjoyed the Prime Rib at Jerry's Nugget. Good value, tastes good, I like the casino. We will sometimes stop here on our way to/from the Palomino

 

Many of the buffets do not have real Prime Rib but what many call Baron of Beef. It chewy and gross to me. I love good prime rib and will wait to go to a good restaurant than to be disappointed in buffet beef.

 

Lawry's. (not a buffet)

 

We go for prime rib @ the Cortez room in the Gold Coast. like the vibe of the room #OLDSCHOOL

 

I haven't seen real restaurant-quality prime rib on buffets. The "prime rib buffets" I've been to had what we used to call Steamship Round of Beef, probably the same as Baron of Beef CinnamintStick referred to.

That having been said, the whatever-you-want-to-call-it at South Point and Gold Coast buffets was actually pretty good. Just don't go expecting Lawry's or other high-end prime rib dinners.

And the horseradish at Gold Coast was surprisingly potent.

I will second this! It's in kind of a sketchy neighborhood, but the prime rib is excellent.

Now the best casino buffet prime rib I can remember was at Mohegan Sun. Yes, I know .....

 

I've eaten at virtually every buffet in Vegas with prime rib and the quality varies from place to place. This may sound weird, but my favorite prime rib place remains the Cal Club (better than buffet prime rib at Wynn, Bellagio, etc). Though the Cal isn't a buffet, I consider it a quasi-buffet because of the extensive old-school salad bar. The real star is the plated prime rib, baker and veg. Cal has prime rib cookery down to a science and the cherries jubilee cap it off nicely.
Biggest suprise and best value for a buffet prime rib was Arizona Charlie's on Decatur at lunchtime. Go figure.

 

I agree; the M typically has very good prime rib at the buffet. Paris can be hit or miss; sometimes it's as good or better than the M and other times not so much..

Wynn also typically has very good prime rib but at a higher price for the buffet.

 

That must be what the Flamingo used to serve and pass off as prime rib...I figured they didn't upgrade at night from what they used to serve for lunch or brunch as "roast beef"..it really wasn't any different than what they served at night as supposed "prime rib"...if you had blindfolded me & served it to me, I would have guessed "chuck roast"...

 

Just had it on Wednesday. I was very impressed by the quality. Tender, flavorful and better than my last experiences at Prime Rib Loft at Orleans and South Point. It was nearly on par with Lawry's. I was pleasantly surprised.

 

I might be inclined as others have postedto go to the various places mentioned just for a prime rib dinner. Seems that "generally speaking" you aren't going to get a great cut of meat at a buffet. If ya need to go that route( to a buffet) obviously would tend to stick to the top tier houses .
