The details have been released. The Las Vegas event is very similar to last year.

    Anyone impressed?

Not in the slightest. Dammit. My host already booked me for it, but now that the details are out, I think I'll have to cancel. There's just not enough there to make it worthwhile. At. All.

I was going to be there at that time anyway for my birthday so I'll do it but I didn't get an email with details. Where did you see the details?

Just read it. I agree; it's nothing spectacular but I am going to be there from the 18th to the 28th anyway, figuring I would do the 7* event the last 4 days. I'm spending my the first part of my trip, however, at my most happy place -- Encore. I hope with some play at Cosmo when I hit Vegas in a few days that I can add a few days at Cosmo in August as well. Sad that I'm 7* and it's going to be my third choice in terms of hotel for my birthday trip. I'm going to maximize the benefits though.

7* been on a downward spiral for years it seems.
I've been staying on the downlow long time, and not going to the higher echilons with ANY of em.
One from the top seems to work out just fine......
    In the meantime,
Right behind you Flowers! I think youre at Caesars when were at Cosmo/ PHo. Mainly did those cuz
lousy offer from Aria so I'm boycotting them. Will do Bell in few weeks, better luck there anyway.
Good luck til we see ya. Feel free to Text me anytime, last few days of your trip were there. wink

Glad I got to see the schedule for each of the events before I reserved tomorrow. I was set on New Orleans, but will switch to Atlantic City. It seems like the "big" thing at the N.O. event is the parade. I don't really feel like being in a parade (yes, I know I don't have to, but . . . .)

Short answer, no, not impressed. But I live in Vegas and so, I booked Vegas. I like the Mariah show, so that's a good thing and I love the Sterling Brunch, so those two items were good. Also, doing the Jeep Tour of Hoover Dam, we go down and hike there often, so a jeep tour (may) be fun. Also, we have put off the Neon museum and will do that. But, overall, Seven Stars is NOTHING like it was even three years ago. When they got rid of the all expense paid cruises, that kind of was the biggest minus for me. Sure, they still give you a cruise, but you end up paying half of what is owed now. It used to be that you paid nothing at all for the cruises. Sad.

Experience a variety of cuisines including the finest seafood at Crazy Lobster on the Mississippi River. Continue the party by riding in the Seven Stars parade atop beautiful custom designed floats. Wrap up the weekend with a Jazz Brunch and authentic Mardi Gras Indians.

    4 Nights Hotel Accommodations
    Champagne Registration
Welcome Party featuring Local Musicians on Thursday, September 15 at 6pm
Seafood Extravaganza Sunset Dinner on the Mississippi River at The Crazy Lobster on Friday, September 16 at 6pm
Mardi Gras Krewe Party and Seven Stars Float Parade in Downtown New Orleans on Saturday, September 17
    Krewe Party, Masquerade 1pm-2pm
    Board Mardi Gras Floats 2pm-3pm
    Seven Stars Parade 3pm-4pm
Farewell Jazz Brunch with Mardi Gras Indians on Sunday, September 18 (seating time reserved at time of booking: 9am, 10:30am, or 12pm)

I originally was planning for New Orleans, but changed my mind when I saw that the "big" thing was the parade. I've been to New Orleans before, and being on a float in a parade isn't "my thing".

So, I decided on Atlantic City and am seeing Smokey Robinson.

last year new orleans came out as the favorite of the 4 trips, i booked it cuz i live here and they werent offering flight transportation, was easy for me, they had the natchez paddleboat dinner instead of crazy lobster but looks pretty much the same as last year, the did change the dates so it wont be super hot...

as for the parade, its not a long route at all, had more people showed up to watch and catch beads than I expected for no advertising and they supply plenty beads

I guess we can do the Diamond Asp. 2 flight with this. We did it last year.

Wonder if there is any chance they will let us take advantage of any of our offers like resort credit and free play. Probably wishful thinking.
