Lucky you! I would hit the coffee shop in Binion's. Good sandwiches at decent prices. I always liked getting off the WAX and heading down Fremont Street, suitcase in hand! If you are staying at Main Street Station, the 777 restaurant is the obvious choice.
    Good luck.:beer::beer:

Honestly, it's not too late to get a full meal if you want one. But if you want just a quick bite then follow Natural 21's advice to go to 777. If you want really good pizza then go to Pizza Rock. They're open until 2 AM.

    Enjoy your trip!

Be aware that the WAX runs about 50 minutes to an hour in the evenings. You will arrive at 7:30, the next bus will be at 8:22 pm so you won't get into town until after 9 pm. It will be closer to 9:30 to 10 after you check in and check out your room.

That said, Saturday nights are hopping so many places may be crowded. I would also recommend the 777 at the MSS for eating (and having a drink with your meal) since you are staying there.

Binions is also another alternative but many of the hotels have coffee shops you can eat at. Market St. Café at the Cal is open most of the time. 4queens has magnolia's (and possibly Chicago brewing co if you want a brew and your meal), golden gate has dupars.

You're on vacation. Don't waste two hours on the bus. Take a taxi or uber. Pizza Rock is very good.

Ditto. Take a cab and tell the driver to take Paradise, about 25 bucks. Pizza Rock or Pop Up Pizza at the Plaza would be great IMHO. Have a great trip.

I'm too frugal. I would take the WAX for $2. You're in Vegas. Saturday night party doesn't end until 4:00am on Sunday morning. Literally. Unless you have a really short trip, taking the wax is all part of the excitement of being in Las Vegas.

I've taken the bus from the strip to downtown but not on the first night. Especially not if it's past dinner time and I'm hungry and the bus is taking an extra hour for its journey due to traffic. I get grumpy when I'm hungry. Don't want to be grumpy on vacation.

The WAX bus doesn't take the Strip. It goes express from the airport to Downtown via I-15 with a quick stop on Tropicana Ave and a stop near Charleston Blvd. Once it leaves the airport it's about as fast as a taxi/uber.

The WAX isn't a bad option if it works with your schedule. The real negative is hanging around in the airport for an hour if you miss the bus, and the bus is scheduled to leave terminal 1 at 7:25 pm.

If you're coming in to terminal 3, you can take either the WAX or the Centennial Express, which leaves at 7:53.

I would strongly suggest looking at Uber or Lyft.

There's also a pretty good pizza place called Pop Up Pizza at the back of the Plaza. Wife and I found it on our last trip and had it three times. Its quick and easy if you want a big tasty slice.

In Feb we took an uber trip from airport to Downtown Grand, total cost was $22.85, time was 23.5 minutes............about a five minute wait for the driver to meet us at the airport

If you want a burger, my recommendation is Flippin' Good Burgers.

It's on the right side of Fremont walking towards El Cortez right near the East District sign. It's quick, cheap, and delicious. I'm a huge fan of the Farm burger (with bacon and fried egg). It's one of my all time favorite burgers and I get it at least once a trip (one time I even went there for back to back meals).

Thx for the tip. I stay downtown twice a year and have never been there. I'll be sure to hit it up in July. Thx again.

You can take the Super Shuttle for $12; should get you downtown in 30 minutes. You can reserve and pay for your ticket on-line to save time. You give them your flight number and arrival time and they will e-mail/text you when you land to give you the shuttle bus number to look for. Another good option is Uber; a hell of a lot cheaper than a damn cab.

Don't remember seeing it before, but will definitely be trying it out this year.
