    Here's a rant I've been wanting to post ...

I hate playing craps there because I think the dealers are obnoxious, surly and rude.

I was there during the super bowl playing at the only $25 table (everything else was $50 or higher but that's irrelevant for this rant) and was standing next to a dealer who just walked into his shift. I nod to him and he does not reciprocate. I'm like ok, no biggie, it's not his day, whatever.

I then pick up a small stack of chips in my rack and start to play with them by passing them between my two hands and he turns to me and asks me to "please don't shuffle your chips like that because the noise is very irritating" I shit you not.

I look at him and laughed but then the look in his eyes said that he was dead serious. I immediately asked him to take my $600+ in place bets down, collected my chips and walked out.

Of course this is not the only instance of unprofessional behavior but the straw that broke this camel's back.

Also I hate the uniforms they wear - loose baggy white shirts that are unbuttoned with a fake gold chain and medallion is not a look for a 60+ y/o white male.

Then there's the low ceiling on the casino floor that creates a permanent haze caused by cigar and cigs smoke.

I prefer to play at the Cromwell or PH where the dealers are friendlier and pleasing to the eyes.

I don't see a reason to go back and play there.

Wow, what an ass. I have had decent experiences at their tables, but nothing to write home about. They are certainly the least entertaining when compared to other properties.

Did none of the other dealers or table supervisor notice this? I mean there are few things said/done at the table that they don't all see. So strange.

Never liked craps at Caesars, either. I do like the dealers at Harrah's. This trip, in April, I will try the Cromwell. I'm actually kind of stunned by your experience. Next to the smoke they have to put up with, I think the rest of it is a breeze. Fanning you chips between your hands is annoying? F*ck him.

I have always had great craps dealer experiences at the Excal, and Harrahs, but the Cromwell is now becoming my favourite all around gambling experience. I had one dealer at UTH, who was a bit surly, until the pit boss came over to him and started cracking jokes. He starts laughing, the table starts laughing, and the next thing you know, I'm down 3 bills, and still really enjoying the vibe!

I like playing at CP. I think most of the dealers are very professional. But there are always bad apples everywhere. A lot of those guys have been there for many, many years.

A dealer like that kills your buzz. Smart that you out and left. And, on the note of low ceilings, it feels a bit claustrophobic...I prefer PH, Paris, (and to a certain extent the Linq) because of their higher ceilings. Harrahs had a grimy feel when I was there which is why, even despite the nicely renovated rooms, I won't stay again. I get comps there too and still won't go -- not worth saving a couple of hundred bucks if I won't enjoy my stay there. Eager to see what Ballys brings.

I think their longevity is part of the problem. I have no quarrel with someone having experience but there are more than a few of them with this attitude like they don't have time for this and would rather be sitting at home collecting their SSA checks on the 3rd of the month.

I had a similar situation with a Craps dealer at CP. Was playing a few months ago and happened to leave my glasses in my hotel at the other end of the strip. Being I was having some trouble seeing the dice, I would sometimes ask what the dice said if I was unable to hear what was called. The dealer gave me crap each time I asked for a conformation... Even after I told her the only reason I asking was because I don't have my glasses. Finally got to the point that I colored up and left...
    Haven't played at CP since.

I don't remember any particularly good or bad experiences at the craps tables at CP. However, I understand that they are in the process of reconfiguring the craps tables and maybe putting in fewer but larger tables and laying off some of the craps crew due to the consolidation. I wonder if that is part of the dealer pissy attitude to the first poster on this thread. BTW, I concur it is best to color out and go to a place where there is a decent vibe. Life is too short to put up with that.

I agree with the OP. Live is too short not to enjoy your gambling experience. It is a prime part of my entertainment.

I have had the same experience at Caesars. The dealer was rude so I took down all my chips and moved to another table. Same thing there so I left. The dealers were also mumbling about various players in this short period of time. I've played at probably every casino in Vegas and visit at least 12 times a year from the East Coast. I have never experienced this at any other casino. I will never gamble at Caesars again because of their dealers.

The comments about the low ceiling and smoke are also dead on.

I prefer the Grumpy old Farts at Casino Royal, I go there for the entertainment value of watching them whine and snap at you when you laugh at em it just makes them madder. it's hilarious getting them worked up ....LOL

I would agree that CP is not a fun place to play craps and the dealers are rude......besides that, I've never won there. You had the smarts to up and walk away, I at times stay and play pissed off and that kills my fun and seems to kill the dice as well.

Hey if you're not having fun go elsewhere. Plenty of other options within walking distance. No time for rude dealers.

I've always had a great time with all the old time dealers at Caesars in their original casino just off the hotel lobby. I'm sure there are rude dealers everywhere but I absolutely love throwing the dice where it all began for Caesars back in '66. Every time I walk into that part of the resort I think of all the billions upon billions of dollars that have changed hands in that relatively small space. Lots of history there, by Vegas standards anyway........

We stayed at Caesars in December for the first and last time.
Not only similar issue with the Craps person which I made sure to mention in my survey, but also the cage people and security which I also mentioned in my survey.
It does appear Caesars clientele they are focusing on are the "older" ones who will come in, sit quietly and just hand over their money.
I think their motto is "No grey, go away". :evillaugh

Im probably like most people here, in that my time in vegas is limited to vacation time, which is 3-4 times a year for me. I wont stand to experience a bad time on a vacation, especially if Im risking money in the process. Its good you walked away though.

I hate when you want to play at an empty table and you approach and the dealers are really into a conversation with each other.

They act like you intruded into their conversation and will still hold the conversation while you are playing, making you feel unwelcome.

And those fuckers didn't even say hello how are you. Rude, rude, rude.

After a hand or so I just grab my chips and walk away. No color up. No tip. No words exchanged.
