After lurking all over this board and trying to come up with a strategy for how best to play my money in Vegas.. yesterday a light bulb went off. I was all excited that I will finally be getting to see downtown this trip and could play bingo at the plaza. My sister and I have always joked we want to go to Vegas and play bingo. I have been researching places to go and payouts etc and ALL the places you can play in Vegas but I just keep getting exited and want to go to them all haha.

So now I have decided that I don't go often enough for the casinos to care about my play. I go every 3-5 years so I don't have offers. And Bingo is calling me..lol. I can play the same slot machines here without a trip.. I can't play bingo with payouts that high, plus where I live now we don't have the digi machines :/

The plan is to go to 1 or 2 games every day for the 3 days I am there. The Plaza is in there because I will be visiting downtown anyway. Corinne shows up in all the bingo threads and seems to be the expert on bingo here (you rock!) and says Silver Sevens is the place to go. I am also thinking Gold Coast because it sounds not too far from the strip? (I am staying at Caesars Palace) Also Gold Coast has this power bingo thing happening in May which sounds 1. AMAZING and 2. A great deal. (http://www.boydgaming.com/powerbingo I hope I am allowed to post that here)

So my questions are.. where else should I go? I don't want to play paper. I don't mind cabbing because I will be saving a bunch of gambling money. I just don't want to spend all day in a cab. If they have some of these BIG days, I would like to visit and see if I like it there enough for a return trip.

Also I am a little confused on the packs and types of cards because it is different from what I am used to. How many cards would be in a large rainbow or a small rainbow? We buy in groups of 3 here so this is confusing to me.

Also do they play side games there. I have seen no mention of them on any bingo page. It seems odd to me because they are so big here. We play "balls" along side the game. (basically a pull tab game that you buy for $1 a card and it gives nothing, small amounts of money or a set of balls which you would then play on the allotted game, the first one to get all their balls would win the prize which is from $100 to $1000)

Any help or tips would be appreciated. I want to do a bingo tour sooo badly!

Make sure you get a validated pack. Validated means you pay an extra dollar or two to make you eligible for the bigger jackpots if you hit the bingo within a certain number of balls. There are different types of rainbow packs. A bingo will pay different prizes depending on what color card you hit it on. For the same amount of money you can get more lower paying cards or less higher paying cards depending on what you want. These cards are mixed in the rainbow packs with additional bonus packs. Not sure what you mean by buy in packs of 3. For $30 you can get quite a few cards. More cards than you could manually dauber. Vegas bingo is fast! It's not church bingo. I didn't care for the Plaza bingo that much. Preferred the bingo at Gold Coast more. The Gold Coast will have periodic super jackpots bingo that is linked to other Coast casino bingo rooms. You usually get 2 free drinks or cocktails with your bingo buy in.

I will absolutely make sure I have validated. 3 cards would mean, if it was a paper game, you would have a strip of three cards you play for each game. I can either dab (3 cards lol) or look for patterns, not both so definitely playing on a machine. When I used to play on a machine regularly I would pay 100-150 to basically fill it up. I like the higher paying cards. I would rather have less cards and a chance at higher pays.
I am really liking the super jackpot bingo idea and right before that is one at Boulder Station, Red Rock etc that is a $99 buy-in with lower but still good winnings. I am looking into going back for 4 or 5 days and maybe doing both of those. That would be fraygul heaven haha.

Even just digging around I have the feeling I will agree with you on the Gold Coast. I am going there for sure to check it out. I think I have narrowed the list to
The Plaza (though this seems to be falling down the list so it's now a maybe)
    Gold Coast - for sure
    Silver Sevens- for sure
    Jerry's Nugget - looks fun
Arizona Charlies -I have a feeling this would be a blast in the middle of the night,

I don't drink much but I am a sucker for cherry coke!

This board has me wanting to try church bingo now lol

If you are staying at caesars, there should be a free shuttle to gold coast. It is just down the road. The paper cards are either 6 or 9 face. Sm rainbow 6, lg rainbow 9? not sure. You can buy what ever you like on the machines. There will be special games where you pay an extra dollar and if you bingo on a certain number you get a bonus. If you are playing the power bingo, be aware you are linked to 3 bingo halls, perhaps 900 people playing?. I did that once, odds were crappy but was fun nonetheless.

Not sure I can add too much here. Silver Sevens Bingo is my favourite by far mainly due to the lowest amount of players. Sometimes there have been as few as 15/20 people with the same payouts as the other bingo halls. Drinks are there for free to help yourself and donuts in the mornings. Points rack up quickly with freeplay if you use your card and if you check each day on the promotions machine there will frequently be a BOGO a blue card and comp dollars. A lot of places, SS included, give away a free Blue sheet (least payout on wins) on most buy ins. Therefore a lot of wins happen on the blue cards as there are a lot extra in the game, which to my mind is sneaky as it makes buying higher priced cards instead of more lower priced ones for the same money a bit of a waste. If they don't give away free blue (you still pay a dollar to validate it) then for sure the odds are the same on all the colours. We get the most fun by playing one sheet to daub with 6 cards on and a machine and pay about $50. Between us that gives us one sheet each to daub and a machine which we share. We never buy the add on games just purely because we used to and never got anywhere near winning on them so didn't pay th extra for them. Any info you want on SS then let me know. You can get the bus from Caesars down E Flamingo, the 202 I believe. SS also has a shuttle from PH about four times a day. Their schedule on their website just shows one way from SS to PH but it's guaranteed to run and you can pick it up on its return from PH to SS. A cab will run about $10, Uber and Lyft may be cheaper.

I don't think SS has any other linked games to other casinos. I definitely haven't been at that game and someone other than a person sitting in that bingo hall has won. I think Boyd and Station casinos do though.

I do pretty much the same as Corinne. Costs me about 50- 60$ total per game. I try and hit a place where there is the least amount of people playing as the payout is the same regardless of how many people there are. I have never been to silver sevens, but will add it to my plans now. The same 202 bus to silver sevens (you can catch it near Ballys on E Flamingo if not at Ceasar's) will take you to Samstown if you keep going and don't get off at silver sevens. There is also a free shuttle that will take you from Harrahs to Samstown. I would suggest you stick with the shuttle from Caesers to Gold Coast if you are going to do that tho. If there is a big bingo function going on at gold coast/samstown, I would go somewhere else like silver sevens.

I don't want to confuse anyone so just clarifying these are the big special games:

The power bingo games are linked. Well some are. I just woke up and am a little foggy between the station one and Gold Coast. Both are linked for the afternoon games for sure. One was not for the morning for sure. As for odds.. the power bingo even if all rooms were full would be one in maybe 2000? Still not bad. Probably won't win but I COULD and that's what gamblers do haha. And with those kind of buy ins for 2 days and the games being fairly high for both days, it would be a roller coaster. I'd feel like I won even if I didn't win a thing. For the station ones at least you can reserve your seat. I was digging around in that last night, and these don't seem to be very full. for example this one is on the 28th of march and doesn't look linked. http://www.stationcasinosbingo.com/75KPalace/event.php?event_id=154 (also does stationary mean here is a machine at that seat? Do the halls in Vegas have enough machines for every seat if they want it? Would they run out? My home one would on any big bonanza day) This event also looks fairly empty and it says it has been selling since december! http://www.stationcasinosbingo.com/100k/reserve.php This is where I am getting my 2000 number.

So if power bingo fllls like these events, I don;t care if it's linked. Maybe they sell out last minute but I think it would be worth a trip to go back and hit the spring one and power bingo. Pretty annoyed I am missing the March 28th one haha

    Regular Bingo for this trip:

Yeah there seems to be a lot of blue cards that they load you with in packages. But i have won too many jackpots to not validate. though validating per pack rather than per machine is expensive!! (relatively speaking haha)I will check out the shuttle. I didn't realize it was close.

For regular bingo, yes I want to play where it is relatively empty. But websites never seem to gloat about that. WE HAVE THE EMPTIEST BINGO ROOMS IN VEGAS!!!. I would be there in no time. Which is why I am bugging you guys for info ;) Is Samstown quiet too?

This is all really helpful. Thank you!

Ok, I have had my coffee now and do have a couple questions now that I am awake and your new info is settling in..
Is this the norm? I get the feeling Plaza doesn't care about bingo. That makes it sound like other places do. Is the freeplay from bingo or slots? Are you making bingo freeplay rom bingo? That would be awesome.

I like the idea of a sheet to daub. I used to do that too keep myself engaged in long games. Hour games are short for me, but if I go back for power bingo I have to remember to do that. It will be a looong 4 days haha.

Where do you tend to play Vegasfan?

Also what you guys are saying is that you tend to win with only $50 worth of cards? I don't need to buy ridiculous amounts? (unless it's a special. Then I am maxing the sucker out haha)

And pretty much every site will have a brochure for bingo with times and packages etc. I can;t find one for Silver Sevens. It just shows promotions and April isn't out yet. Any idea where to find that? I'm printing them out because it will be a pain to look this all up when I am there. Sounds like our resort fees cover 1 device :/

All of the halls have had at a minimum twice the players that we've found at SS. Aliante, which we thought would be quiet, we couldn't even get a seat on a weekday evening. Those guys living near there must be very bored, lol. The last time I went to Sams Town was a few years ago and seemed similar to a ll the others. We now only play at SS after trying nearly all of them out.

I'm not familiar with Station bingo halls/events as I have never been to one. The Boyd power bingo I have been to twice (Gold Coast and Samstown). It was a lot of fun, odds were crappy tho. You can pick your seat if you like or are assigned a seat and you are in that same seat both days. You get to know your "neighbours" well as you spend 2 afternoons next to them. The box lunch was really good and they give it to you and you eat right at your seat if you want. There is enough machines for everyone if they want. You will have to spend $50 more in extra packs if you want the machine. Pretty much everyone buys at least the 2 extra $25 packs and get the machine.

I played at the Plaza a couple times and peeked into the room a couple times to see how many players were there. There wasn't really too many, maybe 20-30. I went to Southpoint a couple times and there are a lot of people there. Locals commented that there is usually even more, so I probably won't make a point of going there anymore. Silver sevens is definitely on my list now, thanks Corinne!

I usually go to Gold Coast (if I am on the strip) or Samstown (if I plan a bingo specific trip where I do nothing but play bingo and sleep). Both have a similar amount of people playing. I'm a bad estimator, but I would say usually 60-100. I have been there with as few as 20 and still not won lol. Samstown occasionally is packed...like every seat full. Likely when a "hot ball" is high or when an event like a slot tournament is on resulting in a lot of people staying there. Gold Coast is convenient to get to from the strip due to the short shuttle ride. It is a Boyd shuttle, so you can get info at the gold coast website probably. It makes a continuous loop of Strip - Gold Coast - Orleans, so it comes around every 30 mins or so. The shuttle (actually a full size tour bus) from Harrahs to Samstown has set times. There is also a bus from downtown at the California and Fremont to Samstown, again has a set schedule and you can view that on the samstown website. Be aware that it probably takes 20-30 minutes to get to Samstown on those buses.

I do pretty well with $60. That is about the midrange. My friend spends $140. I do buy more if the hot ball is really high. If you use a players card, you get a discount. Not positive but I think I save $6 each time. Plus you get points on your card to use for other things like dining or slot play. Worth it depending on how much you spend. The players club can explain it better.

Good luck and have fun. You have me itching to take a bingo trip to Vegas now lol

We like playing Bingo at Palace Station & have frequently taken part of their big games. Although since its properity linked we usually play the Big Games at Ref Rock and every day Bingo at palace. They do have jackpots that get super high by session time for the Cash Ball/Big Three/Dual Daube etc. If while we are in town the cash ball is huge say at Texas Station for the 7pm we will go there instead of Palace.

My BFF won a $33k Cash Ball at Palace last week (7pm session)

Station Games ar done excatly like Boyd games. Last fall we did a Bingo-All and played in both Boyd & Station linked event games. I was Bingo'd-out! Both choose your seat assignment/two days/box lunch/not great odds. Red Rock is the largest Station bingo hall and smoking and non smoking is seperated which I liked.

Thanks Vegasfan! Ok a trip that is just sleep and bingo sounds AMAZING hahaha. If I go in may for the two events, I am pretty sure that is what is going to happen. My gambling budget for the three days is $3000 which had me nervous at slots but for a bingo trip it's pretty crazy. And with wandering to all the bingo halls I will actually get to see Vegas this time. I was sick the first time I went and the second was cold and I was alone and the strip freaked me out. This has me so stoked. I miss bingo so much since I moved here, though I think like most bingo regulars, at least half is the community. We may give evil looks but we tend to really like each other.

I am knocking southpoint off my maybe list. There seems to be a lot of places to go anyway so I won't hit the busy one. I'll also check out cashballs before I go. High ones do tend to get everyone there.. which means the others would be emptier. Maybe... the draw of the big cashball may be too high to resist.

Thanks Hollis. Do you like red rock better at all? I was thinking of maybe staying there for the tournament trip, but it seems a little far, but looks really nice! Congrats to you BFF!! That would be amazing!
I'm hoping I get bingod out too!!!

I am glad the tournament is fun even if you don't win. I had the feeling it would be. It's bingo so even the arrrghhh when someone sneaks in and bingos when your number finally shows on the screen is fun. The near misses are almost as fun as winning, they just take longer to kick in

I've always wanted to play Bingo in Vegas, but I honestly don't know how to play in a public setting, outside of slow church bingo. Will people there show you what to do? I, of course, could do a quick daub if necessary, but how do the machines work? Do they have weird games that I wouldn't understand? Also, people are talking about $50-150 per game? Sounds crazy. How long would a game last? Seems like a quick drain of my bankroll. What would be a reasonable cost for, say, 2 hours of bingo, playing for maybe a $1000 prize?

You could just get a machine and it does everything for you except shout out BINGO when you win, lol. It makes a noise when you are down to one number and displays BINGO when you win and plays music. Easy way to start until you know how it works. People are friendly and before you sit down just ask people at the table if they are happy to help you. Almost everyone will say sure, no problem.

Also, you can get a machine for a minimum buy of about $20 from what I can tell. Make sure you have bought at least one card for every game and you are good to go. The vegas sessions seem to be about an hour. I am used to 3-4 hours a session so $100 or so isn't really much compared to slots (at least how I play) The other plus is you pay and then there isn't anything to spend your winnings on. If there are no side games, you leave with what you win. For your $20 you are playing in each game of the session. Which is not a bad deal. See how it goes and then up from there if you like it The hard part would be catching the convoluted patterns they are looking for there. It isn't a line and an x and a picture frame.. blocks of 6 or kites and I am sooo lost. That's why the machine rocks. It knows so I can concentrate on willing my numbers out of the machine.

This for example lays it out fairly well. http://www.jerrysnugget.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/2-17-16-bingo-sched.pdf If you buy the least expensive electronic special it is $17 plus $2 electronic fee plus you will want at least 1 dual dab and 1 bonus coverall.. so another $2. That's $21 and you play 14 games in the session. Your machine could be less if you are allowed to buy a smaller package but that seems like a good deal as it is. The small rainbow payouts are shown under the paper packs section. Though if they load you up with blue you will probably win on that but at least have a chance for more. One win on blue and you have doubled your money though.

    Was any of that wrong?

If you choose to play in the tournament I would absolutely choose Red Rock. (Although last two tourney's most of the Bingos were being called ar GVR!) the buffet is the best out of all the station properities & yoj get vouchers for breakfast/dinner. The room is huge but comfortable & enough staff to manage the size, smoming room is walled off & the casino itself isnt overly smoky so its nice. The first time we played in their tournament, We stayed at Caesars Palace rather then at Red Rock & first day of tournament took the city bus up to RR casino & their shuttle--second day caught a ride with a couple we met at Bingo. Weird, right? Haha my OH played another tournament but stayed on site. We are playing in the next one but staying at Mandalay (FP is too good to turn down) and renting a car.

Red Rock is a very large property with lots to do on site (has a movie theater too) if youve ever been to the M the remind me of each other in terms of design but RR is cleaner

Depending on when you go, there are several huge bingo games in Vegas. A good example is the Southpoint bingo galas that are held three times a year. The first one in March, the second in July, and the third in November. Like I said earlier these games are huge! The buy in entry fee is $299. They are played over two days, around 20 - 23 games per day. Each game pays $10,000 and the coverall game pays $50,000. They offer the electronic machines at an extra cost per day ($50 I think). I've done it twice and had lots of fun especially if you get assigned to a table with fun people. Oh, the drinks are complimentary an they serve you lunch both days at the event in addition they provide restaurant/buffet coupons for both days as well. Check out Southpoint's website for complete information. Have a great time!

Thanks for the info. We are heading out Sunday evening and I'm going to try it this trip with the machine. I'll budget about $50 just to try it out and see what happens!
