Is it any day you swipe a card is considered a trip? I get into town next Tuesday and staying at flamingo for first couple of nights. Then I move to Cosmo. I plan on playing more when I'm staying there but if I get into town on Tuesday, play at Cosmo some, don't play there for a couple days and then checkin to Cosmo on Sunday, how would they look at that trip? Would by ADT be divided by 3 (Tuesday, Sunday and Monday) or Tuesday through Monday? Thanks in advance for any help.

I will have the same dilemna on the tail end of my trip so I am also very curious for this answer. There are some heavy cosmo gamblers here that will definitely know the science behind this

If you're staying there, each day you stay counts, assuming your Identity # is associated with your reservation. When you're not staying there, only days you play count.

So in your example, Tuesday counts, but if you don't play at Cosmo again until you check in on Sunday, Weds-Thurs-Fri-Sat don't get factored in.

The "trip" concept gets used for things like loss rebates and travel reimbursements for big players.

Iirc, MLife uses the multiday "trip" concept for everyone though, which leads to confusion over this topic.

Basically you're saying cosmo is like CET or Boyd. You only trigger days when you either stick your card in or are staying on an offer.

I thought MGM used some formula where they lump days together where you use your card to determine a trip. Good to know that it seems like only days you play there or stay there.

Nobody's ever explained the MLife "trip" thing, as it relates to ADT, in simple math with an example. I don't buy it until I understand it. The only description of "trip" I've seen that's been laid out is like when Nate goes to Vegas for a month, he's got loss rebates (maybe capped) and travel reimbursements arranged at Casino X, and he can take advantage of them more than once, but he has to go stay somewhere else for a certain amount of time, then he can return to Casino X and start a "new trip" even though he never left town.

What I'm saying is that any night at a hotel with your account number attached to it (comp or no comp) counts. I don't see why anyone would think that if you stay 3 nights, checkout, and then go back 3 days later and just play, why the "NULL" days in between would count in your ADT, it makes no sense.

Maybe MLife automatically counts checkout day while CET doesn't, I don't know. Lots of people (myself included) never play on checkout day.

IF that were true, then MLife players who don;t play on checkout day would be disadvantaged for short stays, because the shorter the stay, the bigger the dilution. Stay one night, your ADT gets cut in half, two nights, it gets cut by 1/3rd etc etc.

I also used Express Comps outside of a stay on my last trip (stayed 4 nights, checked out, used ECs two nights later while not staying at an MGM property), waiting to see if it has a noticeable effect on my next round of offers.
